Says the show was less scripted the way C4 used to do it, Also said it was more real back then when you could watch 24 hours.

He didn't quite say it was less scripted. He said the only way you can be 100% sure it's not scripted/manufactured is to do it the way Big Brother used to do it.

Quite interesting how he was allowed to say that on a Channel 5 show, Him saying that did bring back memories of what I used to like about Big Brother. Not what its like now which is not very good at all.

Yeah I think he just said it. He didn't tell anyone what he was going to say so nobody could've stopped him

Find it odd that he managed to say that on Channel 5.

BBC let people complain about their shows, i don't see why Channel 5 should be any different.

He didn't say it was less scripted, he said that the 24/7 camera feed was the best way for the viewer to get a clearer picture of what was going on.

It doesn't feel like Big Brother without it, I could be watching it right now but its not there so am not interested in the show.

Who was this person?
A panelist or a random caller?

I love the way Furst has been misquoted to suit a poster's agenda. He never said anything about scripting because that would be nonsensical and Furst is a clever man.

The whole being able to watch 24 hours thing was novel at first, then most people stopped bothering with it and it made sense to concentrate resources elsewhere. The main show is the core part of the product and if you're not interested in that I don't see any reason at all why C5 would be interested in bending over backwards to accommodate you.

Anyway, 2.33 million viewers last night. That's a terrific rating up against Sherlock and the movie premiere of Bad Teacher amongst other big competition. Plenty of people are enjoying what C5 are offering. Some people just can't let go of the past, that's the problem. But if anything I find CBB has been more enjoyable on Five than it was on Four.

The return of live feed would be welcome for the civilian series. But I'm not massively bothered if they don't, I'll still tune in to the highlights as I would if it was there anyway.

Just look at the difference between the total viewers for the highlight show compared to the live feed Channel 5 did to see it is a very limited amount of people who wanted it, and to say that you got the complete picture just isn't right because any juicy bits they cut to a static shot and birdsong so the highlight show could have it first. Most of the live feed was just them sleepy which I think is a tad creepy/Trueman Show like.

Very true! Live feed usually just meant a shot looking down into an empty garden in the rain!

Steve Furst was always on the Wright Stuff when I watched it! He'd say this is the mood of the Daily Mail and then make a strange noise or something.

Would be nice to able to have WHATM again, I miss it. What Happening At The Moment has been reduced to a Twitter feed which doesn't say very much.
