love this one, John Lucarotti's sctipt for The Atecs was fantastic, as was his script for the other 2 historical serials he wrote which are both sadly missing.

The sets on the Aztecs were impressive, i also liked the costumes, especially the one barbera wore when pretending to be Yetaxa, she looked wonderful

i liked the scenes with the Doctor and Cameca, the first Doctor Who romance, the Doctors face when he had sipped the cocoa with Cameca and then was told they were now engaged, his face, lol

Great story, Barbara and Ian were great in this

I'm about to watch the Ark - looks like I'm about to learn who the Monoids were

Both these stories are some of the best from the First Doctor (of the ones not lost anyway). Will be interesting what you think of The Ark -it is probably my favourite from the First Doctor. One thing I really liked from The Aztecs is the background incremental music. Pity the new series can't be like this, I find much of it OTT for my liking.

The Ark was great, interesting twist mid-story I really hadn't expected the Monoids to do that! I think the story may have been influenced by one or two events from human history, just as frankie goes to hollywood - two tribes go to war!

I must say I'm not too keen on either Steven or Dodo. Peter Purves doesn't do it for me, sorry Peter, I hope he was great in all the missing episodes.

Yeah, it has a great twist half way through, fairly unusual for Dr Who. It was a shame they didn't look to add more twists into the original series. There was certainly time for it.

I didn't mind Steven. He was quite good in the Time Meddler I thought, but I'm not a fan of Dodo as a companion (like a lot of people I'd say, no disrespect to the actress).

I think I was put off Peter Purvez after his cameo as the american in The Chase. Saying that though, The Chase is the story I've enjoyed most so far in Hartnells era - so much timey whimey! I wonder what happened to the Time/Space Visualiser!
