Phone lines

Now seen a few reports where people voting for Jorgie were getting calls cut off and votes not registered, I'm one of the people it happened to and feel it's another reason as to why Jorgie and Sylvain went out last night.

When you say cut off, could you please describe what you heard if anything at the other end when you called the number?

First I've heard of it.

When you call one of these voting numbers (on any show, not just DOI), everyone is put through to the same lines, regardless of who they're voting for. It's only when you've got through that the two numbers which signify who you're voting for (i.e. 01, 02, 03, 04...etc) kick in. Therefore if there were problems with the phonelines last night, it would have applied to anyone who was trying to vote, ragardless of who they were voting for.

Unless seemingly the voting is regional and the volume of calls from one region jams the local exchange so no one reaches the number at all.

It would also only really be relevant if you were unable to place your votes rather than it just took a few tries.
Maybe there were a lot of votes last night? Or just a glitch.

Yawn!!! The reason why people didn't vote for Jorgie and Sylvain was largely because they didn't want to! This may have been something to do with Jorgie making herself look like a silly little girl and Sylvain making himself look cold hearted and unprofessional!
