BT Fibre contact
Hi
Does anyone know who can tell me if my telephone line will be enabled to get BT fibre, the town i live in has the exchange upgraded and my mates can all get it however i stay about 200 yards from the exchange and all i can get is the normal broadband. I called the BT broadband number and the person on the phone just kept saying my line was not enabled and could not give me anymore information. I do understand that BT openreach do all the network upgrades however there is no contact details for the question i want to ask.

Sounds like you're on an exchange only line. You need to be connected to a cabinet and for that to have a fibre twin to be able to get a FTTC service. Openreach are evaluating options for how to get EO lines fibre enabled, but don't expect anything soon.

Fire an email to this address, they are usually able to tell you what the status of your lines specific cabinet is. Or if you are direct to exchange.
I am not sure if they have plans to provide VDSL2 services on direct to exchange lines. nga.enquiries@openreach.co.uk Be sure to include your phone number and address. |
