Sharp, navy blue suit with a t-shirt. A bit more formal than Nine's leather jacket ensemble. Doc Martens.
Please no frills, frock coats or Victorianara...

Maybe they'll put him in a wife-beater:

Did I see a photo of him stood next to Clara somewhere, in a plum coloured long formal jacket and waistcoat. Or my imagination.

Still Matt's old costume!

Isn't that the wrong colours for Matt's old coat? I remember it all being purpley in the production shots. ... and just what is an assault Dalek when it's at home?

Apparently its a work in progress so they've gone for generic Doctor style costume one would assume.

That said, I'm not sure these dolls can be commended for their accuracy (or even claim to come close...) I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry when I saw them

It does look like the regeneration costume on this picture (seems to have the same boots..er, well, it looks as similar as it can).

We may have the costume by "the end of Monday."

I notice that the figure has a single raised eyebrow...a possible trade mark gesture possibly followed by the word 'Curious'?

Or 'interesting?', like the look Pertwee would do when he saw an alien for the first time!

Ooh, my! I haven't seen that before. He does look good in Colin's 'crazy' outfit. And that coat of many colours!

So this is pretty much what Matt would have looked like in Colin's clothes if Colin had changed into Matt and not Sylvester McCoy. Although, Matt would have been a kid then.

Have you got reason for thinking this or are you just hoping?

I'm thinking very dark blue, a very pared down sharp look - to me David will always be more flamboyant.

Bit like this.

How about a t-shirt, dark jeans and a duffle coat?

Or, if they aren't going to go modern then I'd like 40's/50's style with fedora and trench.

Looking at Peter's colouring, I'm thinking: Black, very dark navy, charcoal grey [so nearly black] - possibly dark fir green, dark burgundy or bitter chocolate. He's looking great in black on Musketeers.

I don't think he can wear the lighter/mid browns, blues or light/mid greys.

I think the expectation is towards a Pertwee look and I'd really like to see something else.

[You can tell I've thought about this a lot! ]

Numerous pieces of the BBC's puzzle:

1) Set reporter and all round spoiler-hound Trackboy previously mentioned that we may have the official costume release by the end of Monday.

2) There are reports that production on Episode 2 has now begun. If true, it is highly possible that we are nearing Capaldi in costume on an open set. Though given some sneaky locations for Episode 1, who knows.

3) Numerous social media comments have been cropping up alleging that we should be keeping an eye on the Doctor Who website tomorrow. This could have arose from points 1) & 2) - but we will see.

4) A GB poster, with only six posts (all of them accurate filming information for DW & SJA since '09), returned to support claims of an official release tomorrow - citing a Victorian look with a modern twist (of course, just a riff off "old fashioned, but looking to the future"). But again, we shall see.

Speaking of trackboy, he just dropped in a few minutes ago

Maybe something like this

Charcoal frock coat but more modern looking than the usual Victorian look.
