PAC code and billing date

My current contract with O2 reaches the end of it's minimum period on 2nd February. I have requested and received my PAC details and will be porting my number to another network.

My next bill is due to be generated on 25th January, and I expect it cover the period from 25/1 to 2/2/14. What happens however if I don't use my PAC until after the bill is generated? will O2 generate a bill for the full month and require me to claim back the excess once I have ported, or will they bill me up to the contract renewal date and then bill again should I not use the PAC before it expires?

Thanks

Your bills will continue as normal until you port. Once you port you'll get a final bill with adjustments for the actual date of termination.

Last time I left O2 (which was near 5 years ago mind you) I got an automatic refund, unlike 3 which made me chase them and request a cheque through the post.

Thanks for the info, that's what I hoped would happen
