He gave his honest opinion rather than lie to be PC. If BB told me people would find it offensive then I'd tell them not to air it and how dare they tell me I couldn't state my opinion without being given a warning. That's what he thinks so he should feel free to say it and the public can individually judge what they think of him from that and not BB.

I'm gay myself and know it's obviously not what nature intended. I wondered why I felt like that for years when I was younger. I know how I feel because I'm only attracted to men and know it can't be fixed or changed but I have enough sense to see that it would be hard for a straight person to know that especially people of an age when it was kept more hidden and in places where religion also is part of the community and it was not really accepted as commonly as it is these days.

Best post of the entire thread.

Or even Channel 5. But surely the HMs know that anything they say is liable to be broadcast. If they don't want it shown, don't say it.

Hi DM how are you - waves. You saved me the trouble of making that point but either way I think 'career in tatters' is a bit unlikely for a show that doesn't manage 2 million viewers.

Ignorant, brain dead, thug seems his reputation is fully in tact.

He has?! I didn't think he was even that big a celebrity? The last time I heard about him was when Tyson bit his ear off, that was it. When he was revealed as a BB HM, I vaguely remembered him from that, and that's about it.

You mean to tell me he's had fans all this time, just waiting for him to say something homophobic, so they can disown him? Also, I could see his homophobic comments coming a mile off, so if he did have a significant gay following, they must be fairly stupid.

I have always preferred people who say how they feel rather than lie just to be PC,,whether you agree with him or not he's entitled to his opinion.

I agree with you're comment's, Even today in the uk a large percentage of people think the same way..Just because they don't voice that opinion openly doesn't mean they're not still thinking it...No matter how far we go with educating each other there will always be people who think & believe in the Adam & Eve way & nothing anyone does is going to stop that! It's something they Believe is right in their own mind!

As much as I find his views offensive and incomprehensible, I doubt very much if this is the first time he has expressed them.

He seems much older than his years and not in this century as far as opinions and attitudes are concerned. Probably due to his upbringing and where he is from.

It is the same as someone white from the same era/age calling him the N word, both views are pretty antiquated imo.

I don't think its the same as that atall. He expressed an opinion. He didn't insult anyone directly or call anyone names.

I really don't think that this will have any affect on his rep. Did he have many gay fans? And according to ofcom they had several complaints; I know that is not a specific number but several doesn't sound like much.

I sure he wont even notice a few outraged people on the internet with chips on their shoulders.
I dont see the point in continually banging on about it you dont win a badge or anything.

A man on telly said something you dont agree with we get it.

I agree supposedly free speech yet as soon as he says anything remotely to some peoples dislike he gets a torrent of abuse
