Please, the moaning over the "rudeness" is laughable

People seem to forget about the classic days. BB1, BB5 and BB6 in particular. I saw a tweet expressing their disgust of the language as it is offensive and it shouldn't have been aired because her 8 year old son should not know these words...

Please, why on earth are people watching with their children? I was at a very young age, coming from an Italian family where Italian TV is very lenient with sex on TV and show it early, I was fine with it. But surely most parents listen at the start of the show, "Strong language, adult themes, scenes of a sexual nature, nudity".

People who are offended with this should really not watch, especially not with their kids. I was personally entertained (in an embarrassed way!).

My issue was that the show lacked depth (bar the nuclear conversation) - it was all shallow posturing, prancing, posing and panting. It had no meaning to anyone unless they're looking into directing soft porn.

Don't get me wrong, we need fun in the edit but let's have some balance. It couldn't have been like the Adventures of Emmanuelle for the entire day in there.

It's always broadcast after the watershed anyway

I agree that Big Brother is not and never has been a children's programme, but tonight's episode was just sleazy and desperate. It didn't feel natural and it was obvious that those involved were just doing it for attention and airtime.

There needs to be some balance, but there wasn't any balance at all tonight.

The nuclear conversation is the part I'd have been happiest to lose. It was just a standard argument poorly expressed.

Watching with an 8 year old child? Why wasn't he in bed for a start and what does this woman have for a brain? That's more shocking than an adult TV show.
As for the show , mainly tedious boring teenage behaviour. Balance please?

I was neither embarrassed, nor entertained. I wasn't offended either, just bored with the same old cr*p.

Agree, there's nothing wrong with a bit of lust. But this was like the 1970s Confessions of a Windowcleaner film, with worse acting.

Well, tomorrows episode will have a balance with the task and the party happening now. We can't have a mix all the time. BB13 for example... 90% nasty, 10% fun. This series is very raunchy.

I agree. They must have new editors, it was just too much of the same thing. It's more like an 18-30's holiday camp.

Agree. They're not a particularly articulate lot, are they, particularly Jim and Liz. The so-called 'serious' views expressed to date have been at best, lame and obvious and, at worst, confused and, in Liz Jones' case, contradictory and self-serving.

This spot-on post sums it up.

That's true; I preferred tonight's episode to a lot of BB13. That was painful because of the nastiness.

It is considering we've had it all before. I didn't watch any CBB last year apart from the launch shows, but c'mon, Charlotte's general behaviour and crude description of her "antics" was far worse and she WON!

Another thread telling us not to watch. There will be no viewers left if everyone actually did that.

I'm not offended. I'm just bored. I mean, come on, when sex is the main topic of conversation, clearly you've not got much interesting to say.

All these threads moaning about the complainers are totally missing the point. It's not that people are prudes and find it horribly offensive, it's that it's just utterly boring and, frankly, cringy when people feel the need to go on about it and do outrageous things like they've something to prove. It's not interesting, it's tedious.

As for "don't watch then" thing that people love to trot out, the same should go for the forums, surely? If you don't like seeing different opinions, don't visit forums.

I wasn't shocked in the least.

It was hardly hardcore pornography (it was about as racy as a Carry On film, really, given what could have happened) and it's not the first time in Big Brother history this kind of thing happened.

Your allusions to Italian TV are interesting, as that's not an example we should be following (some shows seem to exist purely to highlight the many and varied ways an attractive woman can be objectified!)

Similarly, Italian TV has much stricter blasphemy laws so whilst Jasmine, Luisa and Dappy would be pretty par for the course, the sheer amount of "oh my God", "oh my f**king god", "Jesus Christ" that the housemates utter would give them cause for concern.

In fact 2011, the Italian equivalent of Big Brother removed a few housemates for "blasphemous insults" (which the broadcaster actually bleeped out!) It's all a bit rich when you consider the channel that airs Big Brother Italy is owned by Berlusconi, who's hardly a contender for Sainthood himself.

It's all down to cultural differences.

Actually 'most' who find the sexual and crude antics by HMs we've seen so far not entertaining in the slightest, and these views also shared and reiterated by all tabloids and most social media by fans of BB arn't watching with children !!!

Many Fans of BB are just saying they want to see more of what's going on in the house between the HMs, not just that of the sexually frustrated few who we're finding very boring , thanks.

The Dappy stuff was vile not because of the swearing or lesbian kissing (the latter of which I quite enjoyed ) but because it involved Dappy.

It wasn't even rude and certainly not sexy. It was just attention seeking nonsense and did nothing to interest or entertain me.
And it took up too much time of the 38 minutes we get to see.

Its not a question of offence. I wasn't offended, it got just boring and too much about the same thing.

I am not shocked sadly, neither am I offended. I am however a tad embarrassed to be watching it with my two younger sons (18, 19), they know I love BB, and they do to, we have always watched it together however I think they will be watching it in their bedrooms from now on!!

Uncomfortable is how I would describe my feelings. I cringed at Dappy ......went red for Lee and found myself feeling grateful for not being Luisa, Jasmine or Casey's mothers!!

Will I still be watching....absolutely!!

There's been other series that have been a lot raunchier. But the difference is there were other things going on and it was more natural. It's not what's happening it's how forced, contrived and scripted it seems.
