It's good to see that the back button is now working in YouTube again.
Looking forward to seeing if the lip-sync function bug has been fixed.

Does the HDR work as a DLNA server yet?

Look carefully at your Youtube app. See the little screen icon click it while your HDR1000s is on and you are watching it.

When using an external surround sound amp in most cases the sound doesn't match up to what's on screen.
Using the lip-sync function you can delay the sound by millisecond amounts until sound and picture match up.
The problem was that when using it, it caused some odd behaviours when using pause, rewind, coming in and out of recordings amongst some other issues, setting lip-sync back to 0ms and the box worked normally.
So this is one thing I'm hoping has been fixed.

Nothing at all - Did I say it did ? It's a cool new feature that doesn't appear to be documented.

Thought you might be interested, clearly not.

Ok slightly confused, didn't it do that before?
I assume you are talking about the screen icon in the mobile app?
If it's not what you mean then I will have to wait till I get home to see.

The Humax now has a Device ID. Clicking on the little screen shows this ID. Clicking on it instantly pairs the tablet/phone with the HDR1000s. No more pairing codes to type

Does that mean they are only writing an app for Apple devices and no support for Android and Windows mobile platforms?

I would also assume "ECO Mode" wont work if you want to send a remote record command?

Automan.

Android app in the pipeline, more complicated than ios due to multiple versions of the software. I imagine they want it to be compatible with as many variants as possible. Virgin got caught out recently announcing Virgin TV anywhere a few days after some tablets updated to KitKat. Guess what they advertise available for the Nexus 7, but the upgrade means it's not.

Not sure how the box sby arrangements will complicate remote scheduling. The new update doesn't appear to have any new sby options.

I now see what you mean with the YouTube app Graham.
You don't even need to select YouTube from the on demand section anymore, just touch the little screen on your mobile device, select the ID and YouTube opens up on your tv screen.

Clever yes, but it's gonna annoying once the kids start messing around with it when the wife and I are watching something else.
My daughter tried it before while I was watching some YouTube vids and she was outside changing videos, so I unsynced her phone. Now it seems she can mess about whenever she likes now.

Is it me, but when pressing record on live tv is the banner that appears a lot bigger now?

Can't say I have noticed. What is new is the pop up that comes up on some future programme teasers. Press OK for more info or to set up a recording or reminder (or something similar).

Not an issue for me only kid around is grandson. He will be using a PC or his Xbox one in his room.

You know the grey banner that appears top center of screen when you instant record, it seems bigger, will be interesting to see if it still randomly appears as before.

Do we get pop ups for future program's now then?

There are some good improvements here. Especially handy for me is the prompt about deleting a series of programmes.

Although I clearly do have the new software, the update date is confusingly still given as December.

That's the date this software version was finished before being released for testing.
