Yes but you're assuming that it's entertainment. Not everyone will agree.

Some will see it as some desperate celebrities 'acting' like it's one of those softcore porn films where they don't actually do much.

Others will think that if they want to watch sex then this is crap and they'd be better off going off to watch some actual porn.

Wobbling your head between somebody's breasts isn't sex. It's more the sort of thing you see in bawdy 1970s sex comedy films like the Carry On films or Confessions of a Window Cleaner.

In 24 hours of footage, is that the best they could get? That would be my question. Why didn't they show more of the discussion between Jim and Liz?

I'm convinced you're not reading these comments or are wilfully ignoring the explanations.

Let me try again:

- I, like most humans and I'm guessing DS posters, love sex

- I don't mind watching it either, preferably when done either in the context of a good story or by people who know what they're doing and who aren't making total tits of themselves

- if I want an hour of teenage flirting, d**k fiddling, and lipstick lesbian snogging for the camera, there's even lower rent shows than BB showing it. Or I can try the local Ritzy.

- I'd prefer my cringe-worthy sexual interplay, of which BB has had plenty over the years, to be counterbalanced with other stuff. Too much of any vibe simply isn't entertaining, especially when it evokes negative emotions in me. I'm not a masochist.

The show has a mixed demographic and lots of us purists still watch primarily for the socio-psycho dynamics of which there's usually plenty. You can kid yourself that it's all about lowbrow titillation and shocks, criticising us for having different expectations than you and wrongly asserting we're too PC/repressed/righteous, but if it was I wouldn't still be watching after 12 years.

^this^

Every bit of meat needs a potato or two, balance and variety is all we ask

BIG BIG culture these days of the public wanting 2 dimensional characters who stick to a simple narrative, complexity is too hard to bottle and threatens those who aren't investigating themselves enough

Now you've put it out there I think I would have preferred the bath tub shenanigans to be on the radio. My imagination would have done it more justice than the reality I'm sure.

It was just so immeasurably boring with only embarrassment and cringe factor to alleviate that. To those saying the detractors are prudes and most people like sex. I like sex and if there'd actually been any sex I might have enjoyed it but it was just a load of puerile nonsense.

I totally agree. I found it quite sickening and totally unnecessary to devote so much air time to smut!!

In all honesty this series imo, has been rubbish! Yes I could switch over, and I may very well do that, but I keep hoping it'll get better.

The sleazy content and obvious drive and hunger by some of them to get 'camera time' is making this series utter crap.

Usually adults with a normal sex life don't feel the need to share it with everyone else. Its usually the ones who talk about it most talk, but don't do.
