What isn't offensive in this age, offensive is a cliche at this stage.

Big Brother isn't a show just for gay people, indeed I doubt they even take up that large a percentage of the audience. In that sense I think the producers have got their priorities totally wrong. Maybe that's why they had Dowling as a presenter as well.

Perhaps someone could supply us with a list of those words which insiders may use, but outsiders may not without giving offence.
For example, I am a toff, but you sir, may not address me as a toff, or I shall knock your impertinent block off. |

I wonder if Dappy will be able to use the "Religious Belief" defence.

Plus factor the age of the fella, where he comes from and that he's well into his religion... and the state he's from all lead to how he got that belief, people like him don't need yelling at, they need educating. He's obviously been fed some tosh to get to that conclusion. Dappy on the other side has no excuse. |

![]() Anyway, I see the reaction to this is the typical "PC gone mad / people are too sensitive" thing, but people should realize that others may find something offensive that they personally don't. As I've said before, "bent" is primarily used in an insulting manner, and his suggestion that gay people "look" gay is very ignorant, when most will look no different to heterosexual guys. It's not like all gay guys go around mincing in pink lycra. I don't think he necessarily has any dislike of gay people, but it was a stupid comment and it's not understandable that some would be offended. |
