Fantastic review from Ally Ross in The Sun

He's dedicated his television column to Bog Brother and is singing its praises in a way I haven't seen a paper that isn't the Star do for some time.

He thinks it's the best cast since the Rodman/ Galloway year (singling out Evander, Lionel, Liz and Jim as particularly inspired castings) and that it's the show I'm A Celeb "should have been".

Ross thinks CBB were too heavy handed with Holyfield, though, and that reprimanding a Christian for their beliefs is as bad as making comments such as Evander's. Good to see the show is still capable of promoting debate!

I wonder if the goodwill can carry over for a civilian series?

Hard to compute "Fantastic" and "The Sun" in the same sentance but I shall give it a look thanks.

Let me guess, he uses the words "right on" and "PC crowd" many times...

Best cast, why exactly, I think its the worst up to now. still early days but not much happening but a couple of forced fakeness for the cameras

It's funny how the media seems to be beginning to favour Big Brother again. They've shown interest in CBB for the past couple of years but this year it seems to be really taking off. As you say, lets hope it carries over to the civilian series. The best thing C5 can do now is reinstate the live feed for the summer (no, my entire post isn't a rouse to ask for LF back) which will give the media something to report on which people may not have caught in the highlight shows.

The Guardian has also run a couple of stories but I think that's because the lineup includes Liz Jones, the most notorious ambassador of the Guardian's nemesis, The Daily Mail.
