Blimey! Not often I agree with something Liz Jones has said, but that must rank as the most misinterpreted OP I've seen here for years. well, since yesterday at least.
OP, you're comparing the relative physical strengths of humans and various other animals. Jones was talking about what was the most dangerous. do I really need to point out to you that the two are not the same?

Well of course humans are the most dangerous (and probably the most cowardly) of species on the planet. Other animals use instinct to survive whereas we are just destructive for greed and power.

I agree with Liz - imo, humans are the most dangerous as we have the ability to build / manufacture tools and weapons that make us more powerful and destructive than any other animal species.
However, if you want some more tiger info, tigers aren't born as man-killers, nor do they kill for fun.

Impressive knowledge of tigers! You just took Liz's comments a bit too literally, Adam. There were reports that the Taliban were training monkeys to use guns, but they weren't given much credence. That myth, and the machete wielding monkey, came from Fox's virals promoting 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes', I believe.

I think, as many other posters have replied, Liz was referring to the Human species not an individual being.
It's an interesting fact that we are the only species that has deliberately killed at least one individual of every other species of creature we have ever discovered. The Natural History museum is a mausoleum to that endeavour.
We are the only species that has the ability to destroy the whole planet whether voluntarily or not. Ergo, we are the most dangerous species. Just as well really otherwise we wouldn't be watching CBB and I wouldn't be writing this post!

Also your example of a tiger is lame. I have seen a video of a man breaking an angry tigers neck. The poster who named a polar bear is obviously thinking more clearly as a polar bear can knock your head off with a single slap. But all this will be irrelevant once rats have finished evolving their thumbs, then they shall take their place as masters of earth. (If theres any Earth left)

Certainly humans will destroy the planet and the way its going I give it about another 100 years .
Of course humans are the most dangerous, there hasn't been anything on this planet that walks or crawls that man hasn't killed at one time or another. I have read scientific journals that's back up how naturally violent and destructive we humans are, so much so that it is in fact human nature.
I attended a lecture on Artificial intelligence where we were debating how we could give machines a consciousness, the pros and cons to allow them to think for themselves and learn from us, inherit our ways and it soon turned to how violent man is and how bad it would end up if machines inherited that trait from us.

When it comes to a fight a lion and a tiger are closely matched , despite the tigers size.
