I would be very happy with Nicky standing in. Firstly he is a skater and secondly he was a regular face on the panel for many years and deserves to be back for the last series, albeit briefly! I always liked him even though his marking could be inconsistent - but then that could be said for all of them! Thanks for the info!

When are the Winter Olympics?
7th - 23rd February (though there are a couple of events on the 6th).

The Figure Skating finishes on the 20th so I imagine the 2 DOI shows Robin will miss are the 9th & 16th.

Glad to see Nicky back. I always quite liked his marking and his comment.

Being down to one skating judge, who is also a coach, so not objective, would have been tragic.

Karen won't know who to strop at!

Do we think Nicky will be head judge, or might that role go to Karen?

As I stated in my previous post it was Nicky himself who said it on Eurosport. Not sure you can get a more reliable source than that.
Yes, I heard him say it too TR.

You have your wish.

Whilst commentating on the Men's Free programme for Eurosport earlier Nicky confirmed that he would be standing in for Robin on DOI whilst Robin was at the Olympics.

I'm pleased that first & foremost we have a skating judge & I always liked Nicky on the panel. He could be a bit random at times but I often liked the fact he was prepared to go against the grain. As much as I like & respect Robin he can be a bit bland - I don't think you could accuse Nicky of that.
Yay!
