Homophobic/Racist BBUS contestant on Evander Holyfields comments

Quote:
“Evander Holyfield's rant against homosexuality pissed off the former "Big Brother" star who once cornered the market on homophobic comments -- Aaryn Gries ... who tells us the boxer is an idiot.

Gries may have called a gay guy "queer" -- and true enough she mocked African Americans and Asians -- but Aaryn says her comments pale in comparison to what Evander said on "Celebrity BB" ... claiming homosexuality is like a physical handicap which can be cured by a doctor.

Aaryn says, "I know I said mean things, but at least I'm not ignorant enough to think that homosexuality is treatable. Seeing homosexuality as a sickness is outdated."

Because mocking a black girl to incite a fight is much more current.”

A mess.

The majority of the people on that series of BBUSA were probably a selection of the worst minorities of people (homophobic, racist, sexist). I have no idea how BB managed to get so many nasty people in one series. If that series aired here... MY GOODNESS.

I didn't watch that series of BBUS but I've seen her comments, as well as the comments from some of her fellow HMs, and my God, they seemed like a vile bunch. I was pretty shocked tbh, not only that they thought it, but felt comfortable enough to say it on TV.

As for Aaryn, she's a total hypocrite here, and she is in no position to criticise anyone given what she said.

The tabloids need for more stories on this issue is getting rather desperate.

7:00 onwards

Aaryn being interviewed. The audience were laughing at her for being such an idiot. Oh how I wish there was a BBUK type crowd here, she would have been probably punched repeatedly.

And wishing for that makes you much better than her how, exactly?

Haha. That's hilarious coming from her of all people and from that particular season.

That was one of the craziest, most outrageous seasons of all Big Brother.

She should just be quiet and let someone else be the voice because she did and said alot of controversial things, but it's exactly what i would expect from her and that group of housemates. Heh.

That looks bad. It was supposed to be a break in the sentence.

- I wish there had been a UK audience to see her get booed

- IF there was one, she would maybe be punched. (an opinion)

In no means did I say I wish to see her punched. I'm saying is that what probably would happen. She's a cow, but I would never wish violence on someone who is not a murderer/paedophile/rapist.

Aaryn is the biggest piece of crap ever. Don't doubt if she's playing outraged over this it's simply a ploy to make herself look better and not any real outrage.

She's right - there is a huge difference between herself and Evander. Evander was simply expressing his opinion whilst Aaryn used homophobia and racism to bully and belittle Candice and various other houseguests.

I'd love to see a this woman change for the better but she seems absolutely incapable of recognizing the faults in her behaviour.

Aaryn seems to be growing and redeeming herself since BB, and I really wish people would give her the opportunity to do that. I'm not sure whether this is all Aaryn trying to manipulate the public on to her side as has been rumored, but the way people are acting is as if she can never grow and get better as a person.

And newsflash, Aaryn was nowhere near the worst person in the house that series. She was just edited to be. I bet if Andy, Amanda or GinaMarie had said this about Evander people would be rooting for them, when in fact they were all much worse than Aaryn and not only did they make tons of homophobic/racist remarks, they made sick, violent comments that were potentially harmful to the people around them.

And even though she wasn't even the worst of them all, Aaryn was the only one [Bar GinaMarie] to apologize.

Aaryn wasn't even close to being the worst one that season. Just she was the only one who got her racist/homophobic comments shown on the edited shows.

I didn't state that she was, Amanda was the worst one for me... it's why i brought up the season/cast.

I watched the majority of live feed and followed it closely, and i defended Aaryn a number of times, even so... she was still ghastly, overall.

Her taking such pleasure in the thought of Candice being humiliated in the clown outfit was one of the lowest moments for me, that she had no empathy, or compassion or mercy... and to be so cruel in someone else's humiliation.
