If You Were Playing The Doctor........

Just for a bit of fun before the BBC reveal Capaldi's costume, I thought I'd ask 'If you were playing The Doctor, what would you like your costume consist of?

I said this earlier in the filming thread and this would do for me!

I think given that the first episode in based in Victorians times he may 'acquire' an outfit along the way. He'd suit Victorian clobber!

I imagine him to be like Professor 'Iggins! Or maybe like Rex Harrison in Dr Doolittle - minus the hat! 😄

I honestly think the Victorian look has been done to death in Doctor Who. I would like the Doctor to wear something contemporary. I think a costume with a plain scarf, white shirt with open collar, jeans with a double breasted black coat on top would look the part on him. For shoes, I'd go with black loafers.

Sounds like Ian Beale!

If I were the Doctor, there would be a lot less running and a lot more sitting down. So I'd probably be wearing pyjamas or a comfy track suit.

The 'Slippers of Omega' and 'Rassilon's Hot Water Bottle' would be appropriate accessories...

Nice look. I'd probably be a little bit metal... But it'd be "fake" band and festival tee's you know... As if the first performance of Handel's water music had had a tee.

Yes. I would have those.

I'd go for a colorful, tasteless T-shirt, jeans and a jacket. I don't see why the Doctor needs to wear a costume, I like the sort of thing Ecclescake had.

This was on my 'create a doctor' topic which no one ever answered
For my costume I would have along black trench coat, black skinny trousers, black smart shoes and a black shirt with white buttons. A yellow skinny tie to look awesome against the black, and a yellow pocket watch hanging from his trousers. Quite dapper if I say so myself...

Really flamboyant dresses, and when drama is about to go down, dramatically change outfits.

Dark green trilby with matching long dark green trench coat and other general dark greenness.

And a large codpiece.

I would wear a checkered shirt with black or grey skinny jeans, a black pea coat, black suede boots and a trilby (I feel that neck wear has been done to deaths, particularly after Matt Smith, so we should bring some head wear back)

I LOVE this idea! Not just for the Doctor, but I would love to have a t-shirt like that.
