Anyone losing the will to ever dare to have a giggle?
Nope, i don't let kill joys like this try and turn something a bit humerous into a crime.

Wow. Not only have you still not answered the question (obviously because you would be offended if someone did that to you, but your post makes you look absolutely ridiculous.

The fact that it occurred in the Big Brother house is completely irrelevant. It was still two people picking someone (who they have never met)up and carrying him off. You seem to think that's okay because it was only a few steps, yet if they'd have carried him further then it ''could have been seen as wrong.''

And of course they picked him up because he is little! Did they do it to the taller alien? No, of course not. And they wouldn't have done.
Ok fine, i'll answer your question.

It depends on the situation. If 2 6 feet tall men walked upto me and picked me up in the BB house when there is a task going on i wouldn't give a damn, it's just a bit of fun and games. If they did it when i was on the street out of the blue then i would tell them to get the f**k off me and tell them to piss off. But would i feel offended ? no i would not.

Back to the rest of your post. They simply didn't pick up the taller Alien because they couldn't. They didn't have the strength. They went for the smaller one because it was easier, it's not offensive to think that way. It's not like they was thinking "oh he has dwarfism, let's pick him up because of it"

If anything, the taller one should be offended because they left him out of it

Bloody hell. They were NOT reaching for a small guy in a pub and popping him on the table! It was a scenario. An actor being a freakin alien. If this was an attack on a person with dwarfism I would be right in there.
It wasn't. Full stop.

Oh ffs, as soon as i saw that bit on the show tonight i knew there would be a thread on here.
The constant faux concern and rampant PC thought police shite on this forum really does grind at times.

Only for information and not to ridicule anyone. Midgets is a term that is unappreciated.

they didnt pick up a dwarf, they picked up an alien
exactly, it was a knee jerk reaction because of the situation they were faced with and that's it - they may have thought it was a chid dressed up, and as whoever it was was in costume, they wouldn't have stopped to assess the situation at all, no time !!!

In real life, i'm sure they wouldn't pick up someone with dwarfism in any other circumstance.

What they were obviously thinking was 'ooh there's a tiny, adorable little person so let's pick him up and pet him'. I am sure they would not have done that if they had had a clearly adult human being in front of them: they were dazzled by the costume and couldn't see past it. But I do think the alien sounded rattled when he demanded to be put down immediately. It might have been no more than that he was afraid his costume would disintegrate, or it might indeed have been that he doesn't like being picked up like a toddler.

Oh jeez. I am so glad i don't know anyone on here personally, i would hate to have a bit of a laugh and joke with you lot. I would start getting lectures because i have done something that you think is offensive when really it was just a bit of fun.

People seriously need to lighten up on here. Compared to the rest of the forum it's incredibly depressing.
Right? I was thinking the same thing.

People take offence to anything on here and its annoying as hell, i honestly don't even notice half of what some people on here do until i come on here and see multiple page threads just because someone sat on a fly by mistake or something.

I don't know how some of you get through life at times, the worries you must have must be overwhelming.

Yeah definitely. I try too stay away from the forums that I know there will be back and forth bitchy comments and there's a certain Lady's articles on the main site that I can't even read anymore because of the miserable sods spoiling it in the comment section with their horrible comments. It's a pity because some places on these forums are full of joyful, interesting people.

I don't know if this is serious or not. They were pretending to steal him away because they thought him cute as far as I could see.

He was dressed as an alien and hired for his/ her lack of height I presume. I doubt they minded at all and thinking they would mind is more patronizing regarding their height imo.

It's also not right for dwarves to abduct women to their spaceship and do experiments on them.

Thinking about it, if it was a dwarf, as I doubt it was a child, it does seem slightly inappropriate to pick them up...its hardly a major offence but I do slightly agree with the OP.
Way to sit on the fence. You'v just about covered every angle there.

the only time it's ever acceptable to pick up a dwarf is when your ceiling needs touching up and your steps are locked in the shed

If the guy was upset he would have said an the two of them would of got a warning..... Stop been so PC over somthing that never happned to you. The BB forum has tunred into moaners
Its just blatant trolling.
I think people are just bored of the show and trying to find entertainment in purposely winding up other people for their own amusement.
Its pretty pathetic behaviour and goes some way towards explaining why the forum is quieter than ever.

Some people with dwarfism would be offended by being picked up without consent. Just like you wouldn't like someone pulling down your trousers in the street/pulling your hood over your head/tripping you up, or any other manner of things someone who doesn't know you could possibly do without your consent. All in the spirit of 'fun'.

Your fun and someone else's fun are two different things,so best keep your hands to yourself.
FGS look at the context .

You won't believe it, but this place used to be *the* place to come to have banter. You could be cheeky and borderline insulting in the way that promotes bonding in that "I'm comfortable enough with you to call you a fat-armed sea-hag" way. And people would get that instead of calling 0800-HATE-CRIMES.

It's like people are looking to be offended.
That's such bullshit (at least in relation to this). Admittedly there's a ton of stuff on this forum about housemates being "rude" or "not respectful of their elders", and most of that is total garbage, because "respect" is such a vague thing. Frankly the people overly outraged by the "injury" done by words spoken to some stranger on a TV program need to get some perspective.

But seeing hands put on someone without their permission is totally different. That's a line you don't cross and it's not just "good fun". It's actual physical humiliation, not just some old guy's ears being burned by hearing a young lady talking about sex, or the utter level of bullshit when someone claims their "head is being done in" by people carousing around them.

Even though the little person is in costume, under contract, and embedded in a role, there's still a real person under there. Forgetting that and dismissing it as inherently unimportant is just cold and inhuman.

I doubt the person in question got offended considering they had already agreed to dress up as a tiny alien.
