It depends on the situation. If 2 6 feet tall men walked upto me and picked me up in the BB house when there is a task going on i wouldn't give a damn, it's just a bit of fun and games. If they did it when i was on the street out of the blue then i would tell them to get the f**k off me and tell them to piss off. But would i feel offended ? no i would not.

Back to the rest of your post. They simply didn't pick up the taller Alien because they couldn't. They didn't have the strength. They went for the smaller one because it was easier, it's not offensive to think that way. It's not like they was thinking "oh he has dwarfism, let's pick him up because of it"

exactly, it was a knee jerk reaction because of the situation they were faced with and that's it - they may have thought it was a chid dressed up, and as whoever it was was in costume, they wouldn't have stopped to assess the situation at all, no time !!!

What they were obviously thinking was 'ooh there's a tiny, adorable little person so let's pick him up and pet him'. I am sure they would not have done that if they had had a clearly adult human being in front of them: they were dazzled by the costume and couldn't see past it. But I do think the alien sounded rattled when he demanded to be put down immediately. It might have been no more than that he was afraid his costume would disintegrate, or it might indeed have been that he doesn't like being picked up like a toddler.

People take offence to anything on here and its annoying as hell, i honestly don't even notice half of what some people on here do until i come on here and see multiple page threads just because someone sat on a fly by mistake or something.

Yeah definitely. I try too stay away from the forums that I know there will be back and forth bitchy comments and there's a certain Lady's articles on the main site that I can't even read anymore because of the miserable sods spoiling it in the comment section with their horrible comments. It's a pity because some places on these forums are full of joyful, interesting people.

He was dressed as an alien and hired for his/ her lack of height I presume. I doubt they minded at all and thinking they would mind is more patronizing regarding their height imo.

I think people are just bored of the show and trying to find entertainment in purposely winding up other people for their own amusement.

You won't believe it, but this place used to be *the* place to come to have banter. You could be cheeky and borderline insulting in the way that promotes bonding in that "I'm comfortable enough with you to call you a fat-armed sea-hag" way. And people would get that instead of calling 0800-HATE-CRIMES.

That's such bullshit (at least in relation to this). Admittedly there's a ton of stuff on this forum about housemates being "rude" or "not respectful of their elders", and most of that is total garbage, because "respect" is such a vague thing. Frankly the people overly outraged by the "injury" done by words spoken to some stranger on a TV program need to get some perspective.

But seeing hands put on someone without their permission is totally different. That's a line you don't cross and it's not just "good fun". It's actual physical humiliation, not just some old guy's ears being burned by hearing a young lady talking about sex, or the utter level of bullshit when someone claims their "head is being done in" by people carousing around them.

Even though the little person is in costume, under contract, and embedded in a role, there's still a real person under there. Forgetting that and dismissing it as inherently unimportant is just cold and inhuman.

I doubt the person in question got offended considering they had already agreed to dress up as a tiny alien.
