Not feeling this series of CBB at all
Am I the only one?
I absolutely love BB, civilian or otherwise but this time around I'm just not excited about this series one bit, it's hugely disappointing. The line up is one of the worst ever and it is glaringly obvious that C5 struggled to secure worthy participants. The twists are lame, the tasks are the same and there is nothing fresh or original about the show. Yet again they are going to use the 'fake eviction' twist and have the 'evictees' 'spy' upon the 'unsuspecting' housemates. So, this year's basement is a 'bolthole', yawn. The lazy producers need to think of some new ideas quick, instead of just the boring, old, clapped-out tried and tested ones and now well-trodden route they insist on taking. It appears they are also going to rely on yet more showmances to keep the series alive rather than think of something original to make it really interesting and a memorable series. Channel 5 BB has become very run-of-the-mill, boring and predictable and I think they need to start thinking outside of the box before certain fans die of boredom. It doesn't help that C5 have rinsed the show endlessly and already wrung the life out of it since it aired on the channel. Blanket coverage and distinct lack of effort are killing the show all over again. Speaking as a life-long avid fan, I believe the series should be rested as we have already had overkill. I also also fear that if C5 was to be sold BB's future could be in jeopardy once more despite the success it is bringing to the channel. Channel 5 and BB producers seem to have run out of ideas which doesn't bode well for the series.. what does everyone else think? |

Why do people blame the channel lol? It is the BB producers who make the tasks/twists. Though ch4 did give BB a kick up the arse in 2004. I get what you are saying though

BB doesn't seem like a celebrity version this year I feel like I'm watching the Civilian version.

Maybe it's because I've watched since day one and I can clearly see that C5 are just relying on the same, tired old formula because they know it works. I'm not sure what you're implying, I'm no prude, far from it, but wheeling out the same old ideas every series is just plain boring. |

Imho, there should only be one Celeb series each year, and they should be either well before, or well after the summer one.
So far, this one is rather flat with only Jasmine holding my interest. The last Celeb BB i loved was the one wth Julie Goodyear and the fabulous Danica. |

Are we all supposed to be excited about the 'twist'? We've seen it all before.. We have the fabulous Emma Willis presenting, a fabulously snazzy house.. that's about it. |

As soon as another Nolan and Essex personality walked in I lost interest, infact I fell asleep
Its the same kind of celebs the aged entertainers, the hated hack, the models, the US cleb, a Nolan (couldnt they get another Loose Woman???) a TOWIE person, the rapper, the ex boyband the same old guff (audience and guests) on Bots its all so predictable and rehearsed maybe at the ripe old age of 50 odd I have at last grown out of BB or maybe its just a blip and I will get into the next BB |

There is always the off button on your tv or another channel. Personally I am enjoying this series apart from the expected hidden room and false eviction. Like no one ever saw that coming. I guess you won't be watching any more and will not comment on what is happening.

why should I not comment? I thought this thread was about not getting into this CBB I may yet get into it if something happens then I may not if its predictable but if I do or do not watch it wont stop me comming on the forum or commenting on what I read and over the last few nights I have watched other channels dont get to bothered about my viewing habits or comments it could cause nosebleeds |

I was replying to the OP not you
I appreciate that the series has evolved a great deal and I do believe in giving things a chance. My point is, it's the same old same old, whereas, I thought there would be at least one new slant on proceedings. It's very predictable at the moment and I don't believe any series of BB should be predictable, celebrity or otherwise. |

Just because I'm not a hundred per cent satisfied with the series so far doesn't mean that I'm going to switch off altogether, I've watched from day one remember.

Running on empty is an understatement. It's just vapours now!
Tedious, contrived, clearly scripted. A knocking shop for morons. |

I have also watched from day one - and? Of course it is predictable, as you would know from watching from day one. Exactly what did you think would change?
There are enough foreign versions to pinch from too. At least Channel 4 were original with their ideas until towards the end before the rot set in. I don't think the current production team or C5 are creative enough that's all. |

But if they pinch an idea from one of the other foreign versions the whingers all go 'booooring, this has been done on the such and such a version and it was crap'.
Or if they come up with something new the whingers all go 'boooooring, this will never work, stick to the older format'. The show can never win. |

I 100% agree that they need to stop using the fake eviction and every other tired twist over and over again! However this is by no means the worst line up, not by a million miles! And already more has happened in this series than CBB11 and 12 so I don't know how anyone can say it's the worst series when it's already been better than those, 11 in particular.

Yea. This whole series so far seems contrived.
Oh a guy with two girls in the hot tub. Sigh. And how they continue to play up in the promos that the Nolan sister and Luisa had a dust up when that wasn't what happened at all. I'm wanting to like it- but it all just feels so done already. I'll keep hanging in there. I was amazed they have the horrible loose woman person on BOTS on Saturday. She was hideous on the show but they bring her back for a weekly chat? It tells me I am definitely not in line with whatever the producers are trying to do. Hopefully it will improve though. |

Remember when Pete Burns was on it - that's what CBB is all about.
Or the CBB with Jade Goodyear, Shilpa, and that lot of crazies... another true CBB. I have the episodes with Jackie Stallone and have not watched them, but I heard she was CBB gold. |
