With the lack of intelligence and creativity on display again today I personally can't wait for us to introduce young Aex Pritchard and Dele Alli into the starting 11. Pritchard certainly seems on course to be voted Championship Player of the Year and likewise Alli in League 1 was until his recent knee injury. Alli will be assessed by the Tottenham medical staff tomorrow but there is a fear that his season may be over. Let's hope for good news.
In the meantime young Nathan Oduwa is earning himself high praise from the Luton fans and Ryan Fredricks has been a consistently good performer at Middlesborough. Reading around the various forums it seems the most likely to be sold off or released this summer are: Luke Mcgee or Jordan Archer (GKs) Bongani Khumalo Christian Ceballos Ruben Lameiras Grant Ward Daniel Akindayini Shaq Coulthirst Tomislav Gomelt Emmanuel Sonupe Kenny McEvoy Younes Kaboul Vlad Chilriches Paulinho Andros Townsend Etienne Capoue Roberto Soldado Emmanuel Adebayor Aaron Lennon Thomas Carroll with possibly Moussa Dembele and hopefully, Kyle Walker also being added. The development squad players mentioned above are in effect already being replaced by the promotion of some of our U21s and U18s. With Pritchard, Fredricks and Alli to return to us plus hopefully new acquisitions at CB and Strikers we should be better off next season in terms of quality. |

Yesterday's disappointment with the result has been more than a little assuaged this morning by reading the whiny comments from Fat Sam. Too bad that Harry's last second penalty wasn't the winner; then the moany old t**t might have actually exploded.

Sort of confirms that Ade, Capoue, Chiriches & Kaboul days are numbered if we can find buyers. Yes, loan outs Lennon I assume will join Everton permanently and Carroll probably sign-for Swansea. Paulinho and Soldado may also join the list but I get the feeling Townsend and Dembele will be kept for another season at least. As with all these things we have to be careful not leeting some go unti lwe have confimred replacements. With the Development squad it will be interesting to see who Poch rates and who he lets go come the end of the season. Hope Ceballos has a future with us as I have aways liked him as player. |

Ceballos has for sometime refused to sign a new contract because of a lack of guaranteed playing time. As a result he is likely to be released in the summer although he has in effect already been frozen out and no longer plays for us at any level, although he continues to attend training. Of course, if he changes his mind the Club may decide to keep him but I think the player himself will probably want to head back to Spain.

For anyone with Twitter there is a competition running to turn the Wembley Arch either blue or white. Just tweet #SpursAtWembley to register your vote.
Hopefully we can turn it white with the result of the game as well

we absolutely mugged West Ham yesterday, it has to be said. there's a real lack of intelligence in the team right now, it's seriously frustrating. our youngsters are all of varying ability, but all still show the same worrying propensity to repeatedly make a number of bad decisions seemingly every single game. Rose, Walker, Bentaleb, Mason, Townsend, even the golden child Kane...we can include the likes of Caulker and Naughton in that too. I can't be too harsh, because some of them ARE outperforming their counterparts in the squad, but the point has to be made. Walker really concerns me the most, because it's his 4th season, he's played for England too etc, yet probably makes more genuine head-scratchers per game than anyone else. Rose has improved considerably this season too, but still just does too many dumb things every single week. I just couldn't believe what I was watching yesterday when he just completely shut down to appeal for offside while Sakho was busy scoring. it was just unbelievable. Kane is scoring a hell of a lot of goals, so it's hard to criticise, but he's trying to do way too much on his own, and would be better served learning to pass more often and generally being aware of his team-mates in better positions when he gets on the ball rather than only ever looking for his own shot. as for Mason and Townsend, deary me.... Completely agree. He's now taking credit for Harry Kane as well. I'll give him part of that, because of his connections with the youth side, but I bet in his mind, it's more than that.

Mourinho has started with the mind games be declaring us favourites due to the Matic suspension. No mention of us reportedly staying in Italy until Saturday.

So Poch has taken the whole squad over to Italy and will staying on to train over there after the Fiorentina game. I'm wondering if we will play a second string and let the Europa game takes its course on order to be at fresh and at full strength for the final.

I see AVB is having a decent season, running away with the league and a good away win in the Thursday Cup. Probably not likely to take Hatstand on loan ...

Happy to report the u18s stuffed the gooners this morning (not for the first time) by 4-1. Shayon Harrison with a hatrick and Ryan Loft with a pen. Puts us 2nd in our half of the table alongside Villa but still 10pts behind Chelsea with only one game in hand.

With a bit of luck we can get an early goal tonight then look to finish them in the second half. Are we on TV tonight?

Reading the papers this morning, Poch is still in two minds over what team to put out tonight. In my mind we have to prioritise the LC Final. We know we have to be at our very best to stand any chance of beating Chelsea and it is an opportunity to actually win some silverware (bird in the hand and all that). I don't think our defence is tight enough to go all the way in the Europa and you really need to be able to keep a clean sheet in one of the legs to have a chance of progressing.

I could be very wrong, of course. |

I'd like us to just get back to winning as soon as we can, to be honest. Win today if we can, and let Sunday take care of itself.

We're taking an interesting approach to the game though. Apparently training in the UK this morning and then flying out for the match. The squad will stay overnight and fly back tomorrow as Poch apparently thinks getting a good night's sleep will aid their recovery.
The three amigos haven't travelled .. again. Wonder if any of them will play any part in the remainder of the season? |

They are already out there in Italy.Training pictures posted yesterday at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence. Looks like he has only taken his Premiership team list of 18 players so the three amigos definitely not getting a look in. I assume also the same 18 will be either starting or a named sub for the LC final.
One thought is that Poch will go for broke and use tonight's game as a dress rehearsal for Sunday. |

Lamella does his best to give them another goal there. Have we been paid off to lose here, or are those players making terrible schoolboy errors simply not good enough?

Tie over. Ah well, I was worried that extra time would screw up the players for Sunday but at least no danger of that now.
