And apparently he can play in a number of positions as well !

Just been reading about the Fazio situation. Maybe if Poch actually picked him to start the next couple of games he'd change his mind ?

I do hope it is true about the move falling through. If Poch promises him some starts then I'm sure he will be a lot happier.

I have a horrible feeling about the Leicester game today. They seem to have continued their form from the end of last season and we seem to have continued our defensive form.

Walker still in first eleven, argh. Whats the point of buying an upgrade if we arent going to play him.

Cue Walker hattrick.

Well he's picked the same lineup as last week apart from Eriksen, who's apparently out with a knee injury, so you're probably not far wrong to be uneasy.

Lloris (c), Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Mason, Chadli, Dembele, Lamela; Kane

Why not throw Tom Carroll or Alli in to the side with Eriksen out ?

I'd rather one of those two than Lamela flapping around like a deranged gibbon again.

To state the obv, Leicester will target our right side unit of Walker/Dier/Dembele with movement and pace - why wouldn't you.

Walker starting as he means to go on

Leicester are well organised and we're our usual toothless selves .. sound familiar?

Onomah on for Lamela is a no-brainer.

Leicester with 11 men in the final third for most of the game, underneath it all they are a poor side with some pace up front.

slightly better performance in the second half but not really doing anything of note in the final third

Not managed to catch any of our games so far this season as have been busy at match times. Not missing much I take it?

Well there was another typical Spurs performance. Finally, get a break and a goal and immediately concede. It's not like they hadn't had any warning about Mahrez but Vertonghen in his wisdom stands off him and allows him space to curl one in!!

Once again we looked absolutely clueless going forward. Dembele just doesn't move the ball quick enough for me so we lose momentum. Chadli had another underwhelming performance and Lamela just doesn't seem to have the physical strength to make any impact at all. At least when Alli came on we finally had a player who was looking to get ahead of the man on the ball.

If Pochettino picks the exact same 11 to start the next game then I will seriously start to question his ability.

I have to agree with your last point there knarf. I want to keep the faith and i want to give someone time to rebuild the side and turn us in to a side capable of competing higher up the table but with each passing week, with the same excuses, it's becoming harder to believe that it could be Pochettino.

I know it's only the 3rd game and there's a long way to go but there's little indication that we're moving anywhere but sideways

What baffles me is how some players will be dropped after one bad game or mistake, for example Bentaleb (and by all accounts it was a stinker, but it happens) and Fazio, but others like Walker and even Eriksen to an extent who until this injury has been first choice the majority of the time despite not offering much even since the back end of last season, seem to play no matter what.

How long has it been like this now?

The front three midfield players need to have some quality, and ability to get forward, and create. Lamela, Chadli and Dembele have shown over a long period that they're not good enough to do that for us.

We have some younger players, and some new players. Why on earth are they not getting a chance?

This is what's getting me as well. We've signed a player in Trippier who is clearly an upgrade on Walker but Walker retains his place and continues to retain his place despite being poor game after game.

I appreciate Lamela was only drafted in at the last minute due to Eriksen's injury, but with Alli, Pritchard and Carroll and, apparently, N'Jie, available, why was he even considered in the first place ?

I can only think that Lamela's transfer fee is what's getting him picked at the moment.
