More like it Dembele, took it on himself instead of looking for the pass. Need more of that in the final third.

Ok Eriksen now we know you can do that, let's see it more often!

yes, absolutely

good win. obviously still a few 'issues', but a good win. I can't see the 3 teams above us having too much trouble this weekend, so i think we need to look at the Spammers and United for slip ups so we can consolidate 4th.

26 attempts 11 on target, most of those in the 2H so much better stats than against Leicester.

Felt we won the 2H at a stroll after Eriksen's second goal because you could see the belief drain from the Sunderland players. In the end 4 was a good result but maybe could have been more had we kept our foot on the accelerator.

Eriksen out!

Who next?

Good result from Newcastle. Just need a favour from Liverpool and it'll leave Ars*nal in the position of having to beat Stoke to really help us consolidate in 4th.

I can't see Leicester slipping up against Villa, considering the form of both sides.

Here's hoping the remaining results can go our way.

Noticed Charlie Austin has signed for Southampton for £4m. Can't help feeling at that low price he would of been worth a punt as insurance against Kane being injured. That's not to say we would stop looking for another top class forward as well in this window.

Yes, fingers crossed. I still think 3rd should probably be the overall target as things stand, and then if anything else happens beyond that then it's a bonus.

Two draws tomorrow would be nice ...

Yeah I suppose that would be ideal as it keeps the top three only 4 points away and still maintains a 4 point gap below us.

I wouldn't have a huge issue if Liverpool and Ars*nal both won though I suppose. Would still only keep us 4 points behind City and then 5 ahead of United.

Apparently Walker was rested yesterday, rather than dropped all together.

Thought Trippier did enough to retain his place though, but it's unlikely he will.

I think you have to say that, you don't want to imply Walker isn't doing his best.

It was a Premiership game. It speaks for itself: Imo, Trippy has got a run in the (first choice) team.

He said exactly ..

Quote:
“Poch said of Walker omission: "I always change the full-backs if we play three times in a week. I am very happy with him."”

https://twitter.com/SkySportsLyall/s...rc=twsrc%5Etfw

Considering we're playing on Wednesday and Saturday again this week, maybe he'll rotate again ?. Either way, Trippier more than deserves a run in the side.

I'd even say the same about Wimmer as well to give one of Jan or Toby a rest.

Just seen that Eriksen has won the Man of the Match vote from yesterday.

Clearly our fans are not a very bright bunch
