Leicester deserve it. I wish I could say we do but, even if it is a league in a state of flux as the Prem is, you still shouldn't be able to win the Prem on less than a 2 point average.

I hope for 3rd. If Leicester blow it now, it will almost be a shame but of course I'd take it, and love it forever.

Sorry to butt in here but just wanted to bring to your attention something pleasant about your club which i read on a LFC page on FB.

It was very complimentary towards the TH fans at Anfield on Saturday because unlike fans of many other teams there was no negative chanting. By that i mean no mocking Heysal or Hillsborough songs (obviously - there is only one team's fans who sing those), no In your LFC slums songs, no songs about the lack of jobs in Liverpool and no songs about SG slipping 2 years ago. There were only songs about your team.your players and of course the Glory glory song which is the song most linked to your club and it sounds great when sung well which it was.

I was not there myself but have no reason to doubt this account so well done to you TH fan for this.

We can all give and take banter and mostly there is no harm in it but to me much modern chanting goes well beyond that and it is good to be able to have a competitive match between 2 top teams when this did not occur.

Well, all I have to say is it would be very helpful if Bilic handed Wenger his arse on Saturday, and he might just do it.

Indeed, and whilst the title race may be all but over, im still holding out hope that JD can do us a favour too.

Sunderland have it in them to get something off Leicester. Fingers crossed they have a ref who will actually give correct decisions against Leicester!

Yes, very much agree. Leicester have been on the right side of far too many dodgy decisions over the course of the season so it would be nice to see a strong referee for once.

Allardyce can certainly set up a team to frustrate and spoil and "get it long" so when you've got like playing like, something has to give

And the Spammers will be going all out for a top 4 finish as well so they could also - hopefully - cause them some problems.

That said, I think if we're on the wrong end of the result at the weekend then that really is the end of any faint hope we might still have because Leicester would then need to lose at least 3 games and draw another 1 as well in their last 6 which simply isn't going to happen on current form.

Leicester are in such a comfortable position now that all they have to do is to manage gap. That means that a draw will do in some of their more tougher remaining games whereas we need 6 straight wins and Leicester to implode. As it stands they need 12 points to clinch the title.

Looks like 4th spot may be squeaky bum time with the results of Man City and Liverpool this week. If both win their cups and finish outside the top 4 then the 4th place side loses its champions league place. Liverpool are definitely not getting top 4 and Man City are certainly borderline. I just pray we dont stutter in the run in so its not an issue for us.

Of course a long way to go for both teams so might be irrelivent. But as we all know things like this "can" happen. Funny if Arsenal finish 4th then lose out.

I bet Poch is regretting putting such a weak team out against Dortmund now. Look at what Liverpool achieved last night by putting out the first team squad., and our first team is so much stronger!
Oh well we can always think about next season as we always do..

I bet he isn't. He, and Levy, know exactly what they did.

He will, though, be relieved we're not 9th on 45 points and struggling to qualify for any kind of European football.

I also bet he isn't. I'd actually bet he doesn't give a crap about it, and is only bothered about our squad and what we can achieve in the next six games.

Liverpool have nothing else to play for. They're not getting top four, and may not even finish in a Europe League spot. They can risk everything on the Europa League. We had to prioritise how we saw fit at the time, and that's what we did. It's too simplistic to look back in hindsight and say it was right or wrong to have done what we did.

There is also the added factor of Dortmund being Klopp's old team, and that will add an edge to the round that we didn't have. Dortmund had nothing to prove against us, just like we didn't really have anything to prove against them, not in the way Dortmund and Klopp have things to prove against each other.

Dortmund still dominated for large periods of last night's game and dominated the possession as they did against, but Liverpool benefited from Aubameyang being off his game. Unfortunately for us, he was very much on it when we played them.

It was a conscious decision to put out a weakened squad, so Poch can't have any regrets really. I fully expect Dortmund will turn up the wick for the second leg v Liverpool and beat them on aggregate. Poch's decision will then seem quite a sensible one. Not that I don't want another English club to do well in Europe.

And here's another reason he won't give a damn:

What I would encourage you to do, and I know you won't, is to stop thinking like you're driving a mid range saloon. Tottenham fans really need to start thinking bigger than two-bob pots which, I grant, isn't easy.

Every piece of analysis I've done shows Thursday football is a mugs game. Some fans of medium size clubs love it because it validates their desire for their team to be a 'big club', and when it couldn't be better designed to inhibit exactly that.

Read the comments above. Your the only one who thinks this way.

I certainly don't agree I am the only one who thinks this way. I have spoken to many Spurs supporters who feel the same way. In fact I would say your views are unrepresentative.

It's best not to get involved in the cup talk

Me, I want us to win all the prizes but I do think we need more strength in depth before we can seriously think about challenging on all fronts.

We need to unearth another Toby Alderweireld to partner Wimmer for the cup competitions. Or just clone the one we have . If Cameron Carter-Vickers is as good as many say he is, he could well be the answer and even save us a few quid.

Another quality DM as well, and one, maybe two more quality strikers.

We have good strength in depth already, but if we can add a few more players then we can certainly put out very strong sides in all competitions.

Team is in and no surprises. Lamela back which is good. Leicester's impending win against Sunderland really has put paid to any title hopes to be fair so I think we need to be focusing on the top 3 finish from here on in.

You have to hand it to them, its stunning form and they deserve to win the league. We have no one to blame but ourselves. Just a few matches ago we had not one but two chances to go above them in the space of couple of days. We failed and ended up just getting a single point out of six. Who knows what would have happened if we had won them games and put pressure on them. We will never know. What I do know is that Leicester have been coasting for weeks without anyone putting pressure on them. Its a lot easuer to win in that position.

I just hope our heads dont drop this afternoon. We MUST get the runners up spot. We MUST.

They have parked the bus early already, somewhere in North London.
