6.7m not bad for EE out of slot.

MM didn't profit from WR and Apollo competition. Low 5s quite poor for this once big hitter. Less than 2m ahead of WR!
Dented by Midsomer, but a good rating, but Corrie against Strictly which a similar rating is poor apparently. How do you work that out?

Next week is Carol's cancer storyline and (gulp) sonia's return so it looks more exciting than this week (Jane's return aside it)
But I bet it will still be the worse rating episode of the week so really - why bother?

hmm is it because one is on BBC and the other on ITV

That's unfair Robbie would never be that biased

Never in a million years would it get anywhere near 10m, 7m is probably an over estimate, people have been watching this nonsense for the previous 2 years why would they suddenly start watching now, Kylie can only attract so many fans of her own you know.
7 million certainly isn't an over prediction. Last years final along with a handful of last years auditions and battle rounds topped 7 million in the overnights so there's no reason to think that airing in January against weak competition and with a new coaching line-up this years opener can't do the same. Additionally you somewhat missed the point I was making with the 10 million comment which wasn't that The Voice should be opening with 10 million. Rather it was a comment about Samuel's posts and predictions.

Not to mention is often quoted mantra that overnights don't really mean anything anymore I guess that only apples to BBC programmes hmmmm.

If anyone was wondering which they aren't heh I don't have any Channel allegiance i'm an equal opporunities basher or praiser.

I guess to build momentem and to fill up the schedule - why do itv do it?

As i said previously i bet it rates even better than what plays in that slot normally even if it is down on EE's normal ratings. And i guess they wanted something to lead into WR to kick start the new series in it's new slot.

Pointless whupping The Chase again I see.

Appollo rating similar to BBC1 daytime staples. Stop putting this out on BBC1, it's exactly the sort of show that should be made for BBC3

These ratings are tiny!

"@overnightstv: #ThisisJinsy launched 2nd season at 10pm on Sky Atlantic to 51k and above-benchmark 0.26%. Ep2 at 10.30 - 30k/0.2%

#Thanks Mike.

Looking at that breakdown for BBC1 its not a pretty sight. EE dropped as it went along, as did Waterloo Road, and then Appollo finishes with under 2million only booted by viewers turning in early for the BBC news.

Have you got a CBB breakdown? Wondering if it decreased or increased it's audience.

And any rating for The Tomorrow People on E4?

Elsewhere..

Hollyoaks interested 1.12m (5.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Theresa was finally arrested for Calvin's murder, while John Paul and Finn's dark new storyline brought 796k (3.7%) to E4's first look at 7pm.

Over on Channel 5, Terese's discovery about Paul in Neighbours was seen by 653k (9.4%) at 1.45pm and 878k (5.3%) at 5.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors appealed to 1.5m (21.8%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.

Great for the Tomorrow People on E4! A bit late Mike but do you have anything for Revenge on E4 from Monday? Thanks.

Thank you It was an eviction show (well not a real one), hence why it was 90 minutes. Great to see it climb pretty much. ooh, good figure for TTP on E4. Arrow would do better on E4 than on Sky1 (even though it does time shift to well over 1m). A Wednesday E4 lineup of Arrow and The Tomorrow People would be grand.

Thanks, quite poor really but a similar ratings drop to what it has suffered in the US. It's guaranteed for next season for Syndication at least, I just hope E4 stick with it!

Live At The Apollo really is a dreadful primetime performer. Has no business being in that slot. Awful!

much as it pains me to give Sky credit, Arrow's is rating better than the last series of Smallville was on E4

Not sure it would do that much better on E4, even with the greater reach of FTA vs pay tv

Yeah that's fair. It is doing extremely well on the channel. Just a shame, I wish they could have three of the big 4 (Arrow, The Vampire Diaries and The Originals) of the CW network in the US over here all one channel along side The Tomorrow People.
