Yes, agreed. Otherwise we would get into arguments about excluding the occasional Sunday Corrie opposite Countryfile, and so on.

Indeed, I made a similar point earlier. Assuming it continues its pretty stable trajectory or rises, the year-on-year comparisons will look a lot healthier later in the year, as it fell quite sharply through most of 2013. So the fact that it was down in January (including all out-of-slot and clash-affected episodes) by not much more than Corrie is encouraging in that context. The only way is up.
