Cbb was bit more dull last night but still increased on last Jan. Boding well for the series average.

The Mj doc done great too, partly due to shock factor I expect. Some disturbing images and decent acting.

New thread already - what have we done to deserve that!!

Last night EE being really consistent and while I dont see the appeal myself excellent for The 7.39 actually increasing for its 2nd episode. Holby a bit higher too - was there a reason for that?

Well.....

Wasn't expecting this. Consolidated ratings are out, but the NYE fireworks are not there.... The Gary Barlow show is shown as being 78 minutes long - so it includes the fireworks.

New Year's Eve 2013 - consolidated ratings

1 - Gary Barlow's Big Ben Bash: 8.32m
2 - EastEnders: 7.78m
3 - Emmerdale: 6.98m (6.74m excl. +1)
4 - BBC News (18:30): 5.55m
5 - The Graham Norton Show: 4.48m
6 - Holby City: 4.25m
7 - BBC News (22:00): 4.15m
8 - Celebrity Mastermind: 3.96m
9 - ITV News (18:45): 3.66m (3.60m excl. +1)
10 - Two Doors Down: 3.56m
Two Doors Down at 3.56m is actually not bad for the slot. I have seen it now and thought it was well done although it was very shouty. Good characters though.

I thought the BARB day ended at 2 am so no question about the fireworks being in 2013.
It does. But the thought of it being on a different day with Samuel, Robbie, George and Andy arguing over it amuses me!

It'll look different in 6 weeks time.

Yes, 2.88m, up 0.87m, pretty decent!
Thanks Ronant. I watched The Thirteenth Tale last night, thought it was very good.

So IAC remains at the top on the 2013 chart. As Robbie said the ITVistas will be popping champaine bottles, but the other way around and he would be doing the exact same. Thankgod we escaped his smugness.

ITV flopzone back to its best, BBC1 gets a free ride. Put something better out ITV and you might actually get some viewers, for pitty sake. Although to be fair next wekk has Paul O' Grady Animal Orphans so hopefully that should do better than usual standards. But they're just not trying. The start of 2014 could have been a New Year, meaning a new unflopping Tuesday on ITV.

Its like EE, once the quality picks up so will the ratings.

So even with The Taste not meeting expectations...

Still a very solid night for Channel 4

Location x3 2.7 Million (inc +1)
The Taste 1.8 Million (inc +1)

And above BBC 2 in all day shares...

so not the worst.

Looking forward to the new series of The Undateables on Thursday

That's until the programme logs have been resubmitted....and IAC will probably still be ahead after that!

"Is ITV smugness better than BBC smugness? That is coming up on the next Jeremy Kyle Show!"

Charming!

Doesn't stop IAC launch being only the third most watched bit of event TV of 2013 though!

I'm not smug, just pleased that IAC is top. A lot of effrt goes into making that programme.

Dont mention Jeremy Kyle - thats one program that even I would agree is worse than IAC.

All smugness is bad - unless its me who is being smug!!

Share was up +3.3 points on New Year's Eve so it wasn't just a case of more viewers being around.

Don't Holby's overnight ratings always include River City viewers in Scotland?

Long time lurker on this thread but first time poster (what have I left myself in for :P ;P).

With New Year's Eve's ratings in, obvs without the fireworks, has anyone got the 'final' Most Watched list of the year.

Thanks muchly

Why does it take them 6 weeks to make adjustments? I'm sure if we had the data we could do it in about half an hour.

Effort goes into making all programmes. It's whether they get watched or not.

Well that's not true. Of course a lot of effort goes into it, it's a huge production. It may not be to your taste, but that's a different matter entirely.

Channel 4 is having a good start to the year certainly in primetime.
