Far too much slow-mo, they don't need to use it to show someone pressing a buzzer. That constant commentary isn't needed either. Basically The Cube dumbed down for Total Wipeout audiences.

In honesty Andy, it is more enjoyable and far less dull than The Cube. It's growing on me. It's nice teatime entertainment and it is geared for a family audience so not necessarily dumbed down.

I hope this thread is representative of the nation. Even the ITVistas are watching Reflex.

Thanks cylon. Interesting. It won't surpass the first episode which imo was a weaker one but the intrigue after 2 years sealed episode one's fate.

Might have a job reaching 11m but already episode 2 is ahead of the highest rated episode of series 2. Will episode 3 be higher or lower than episode 2?

Nice: Emma Willis doing the end-credit promotion at the end of Reflex (bigging up the "dapper" Nick Knowles in the process!). They really are throwing everything including the kitchen sink at The Voice.
EDIT: And she's doing the continuity introducing The Voice as well! |

Indeed. If it doesn't perform tonight it won't be for lack of effort from the BBC.

More importantly its already more relaxed and fun than the first two series. They made a pun when introducing the first act. A pun on The Voice!

Not really. If two programmes are on BBC and ITV you want to watch, your more likely to watch BBC1 then watch ITV on +1 therfore deflating ITV's first showing.
For instance, if - as some argue - +1 viewers for ITV are merely those who choose not to watch live or in other recorded viewing, and therefore are not falsely inflating the overall figures for an ITV programme - then when BBC introduce their own +1 channel, we shouldn't see any significant increase in overall audience for something like - say - Last Tango in Halifax, from its figures before the introduction of +1. So if there is no significant change in figures for something like LTIH pre and post +1, then it proves that ITV never had any advantage from +1 in previous years. However, if the figures for LTIH are suddenly increased significantly with the introduction of +1, then what would that tell us? Either a few hundred thousand new fans had magically discovered the programme at exactly the same time as +1 was introduced (unlikely), or else +1 was now inflating the previous figure for the BBC show. This would logically infer that the previous ratings for years in which BBC lacked an equivalent +1 channel had unfairly inflated ITV figures with respect to BBCs. The beauty of this is that it's testable. You can predict the likely outcome, and then compare it with the facts when BBC +1 comes along. No opinions necessary. So - when +1 is introduced to BBC, do you think its programmes will suddenly add viewers to the ratings, or stay the same? |

I hate these Karaoke shows, but I'll admit I'm horribly shallow and watching because of Kylie

Massive buzz on social media right now for the Voice. It is generating 1000 tweets per minute as I speak. Splash in comparison is only getting 90 tweets per min.
