I 'lambasted' him for his entire slate of predictions not simply Reflex.

I think you misread my post. Yes, I said it was worse - but didn't realise I had to state that was my own opinion rather than a fact. I've never said it won't rate well - it should do very well to be honest and has everything going for it to be over 8m.

Oh I didn't feel it worked using families, having single people as in The Cube worked better. The idea of beating the Cube is more exciting. I prefer Schofield to Ritchie, though both aren't that great. The narrating was not my cup of tea really and the slow-mo didn't really work. Beforehand when I read they were using Ritchie I was turned off and the idea wasn't very original, though not many are nowadays. Have I answered you now haha?

No worries . To have 7 unique programmes over 10m and 11 over 9m in just two weeks is pretty impressive!

@farqs: Produced better, better judges line-up and better presenting duo. I'm really liking Marvin, got potential to be a great presenter.”

I said earlier today that people that were critical of it before said it was better now, like Kevin O'Sullivan. That was the most telling thing of all. I looked at the Twitter reaction of industry people that slated the last series and they enjoyed TVUK tonight.

Well yes, and no. You went into Reflex expecting it to be like The Cube and had already decided it was going to be awful because you dislike Shane Ritchie. I go into programmes with an open mind and I have seen The Cube and Reflex is nothing like it so that comparison needs rejecting from the offset.

But if you don't like it, you don't like it. Fair enough. But it really wasn't awful. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't awful.

No didn't mis-read it at all, you ridiculed it in every way said that the only two interesting judges were replaced by dull ones, not sure what part of that suggests there will be better viewing. You clearly felt it would fail.

Your talk about Danni over Kylie did seem like there was a certain bias though, I do have to say.

Very predictable that the usual ITV suspects have been banging on about how awful The Voice is. The very same people who criticise when anti XF posters pop up when XF is on and then they do exactly what they criticise other people for. Just saying.

And those who criticise The X Factor are now defending The Voice to the hilt and are calling out anyone who doesn't agree with them as biased. It works both ways and has done for a while - hence this thread is now a hideous shadow of what it once was.

Anybody that thinks Danny from The Script is interesting and isn't a Script fan or a woman that fancies him is truly a rarity!

Just out of interest which posters who criticised XF are now defending The Voice?

I'm not going to start labelling specific posters as it will just result in mudslinging and goodness knows that's the last things this place needs!

The Voice is getting great reviews across the board. Digital Spy tv editor praised the opening episode: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s154/...-new-life.html

The Voice's biggest test is the SNT clash. Viewers like wholesome, traditional entertainment and Ant and Dec are permanently popular! ITV do hav e some strong shows coming up with SNT and BGT, so I doubt there'll be overly concerned about how well Splash does. As long as it hovers around the 4m mark then it will be fine.

With the greatest respect I think your just assuming that anyone who praised The Voice is some sort of pro BBC posters who are not genuine. I cant see that there has been that much praise for it tonight - many have said it was improved but not much more. I dont watch any reality/talent shows and have no axe to grind but like you wish this bipartisan tripe was stopped.

If you are Simon Cowell you have to be questioning the executives who let XF alumni Marvin end up as one of the high points of the new Voice presenting team.

I for one wish the labels would end. I know it's hard and I've had a go at Samuel in the past as he can be very one sided and overtly expressive but it's not a secret so I don't complain now. We all know. Same with other posters.

As I've said I'm somewhat loyal to Sky Arts and Atlantic but...

Can we debate numbers, personalities in shows and not the personalities of a poster?

Looking at the Voice thread on here, last year there was 1178 posts and tonights has 1176 up to now. Could mean bugger all though!

I can't say I've seen a great deal of criticism of The Voice on this thread tonight. The one FM that was critical was pounced upon by several other people. Reaction seems to range from decent to the best thing in the history of television.

We seem to have gone beyond simple BBC/ITV divisions to a situation where some people are determined to paint themselves as the minority in a thread dominated by bias for "the other side". It's a bit like we've been cooped up in the Big Brother house and people are starting to go nuts.

The Voice was better tonight. I like the production and it felt more "hip" without turning it into The X Factor. Kylie was awesome, as was Emma Willis. I predict around 8.4m.

Such a shame that the explosive row on CBB was shown tonight as Saturday is it's the lowest rated day for the show. If it was any other day, it would have been 2.5m-2.6m+. By far the best show of the series. It most likely went sub 2m as Sats normally do.

Take Me Out would be at around 4.3m incl +1 I would predict. And Splash around 3.9m.

Not at all but one person criticised The Voice tonight and was jumped upon. I've only watched one Voice episode so far and that was the first ever - I admit I was/am in the minority but found it too slow and plodding and didn't return. And I am tempted to give the revamped version a go on iplayer and see what I make of it.

I agree with the bipartisan tripe stopping. To an extent it's overpowering everything else.
