I know I dredge it up but even with the unbearable Jessie J and Danny the spinny has always been popular so I'm reserving judgement on tomorrow ratings
I think it's become less Radio 4 more Radio 2 (that's a positive metaphor ) Second point... How shit is Danny Dyer. He makes the rest of the soap actors look like Olivier |

I can't say I've seen a great deal of criticism of The Voice on this thread tonight. The one FM that was critical was pounced upon by several other people. Reaction seems to range from decent to the best thing in the history of television.
![]() We seem to have gone beyond simple BBC/ITV divisions to a situation where some people are determined to paint themselves as the minority in a thread dominated by bias for "the other side". It's a bit like we've been cooped up in the Big Brother house and people are starting to go nuts.

Looking at the Voice thread on here, last year there was 1178 posts and tonights has 1176 up to now. Could mean bugger all though!

I fear there will be lot of smug bbc fans on here come tomorrow morning.
The Voice will struggle after the gimmick stage of the spinning chairs that's the problem. |

Not at all but one person criticised The Voice tonight and was jumped upon. I've only watched one Voice episode so far and that was the first ever - I admit I was/am in the minority but found it too slow and plodding and didn't return. And I am tempted to give the revamped version a go on iplayer and see what I make of it.
I agree with the bipartisan tripe stopping. To an extent it's overpowering everything else. |

So is that the first thread for the opening series of last years numbers up to now? If so does that mean this new thread is already way in front

So, why are comments like this never criticised but similar ones made by "BBC fans" are?

LOL I think he's doing well but the other actors in the Carter family are much better. Especially the actors that play Johnny and Linda.

The woman who plays Linda Carter is Kellie Bright. Was she the actress who played Del's mum in Rock and Chips?

It depends how posts are written though. Some like the one tonight was confrontational and was jumped on I agree. There have been several others criticising as well but less confrontational and they did not get the same reaction. There do seem to be some very thin skinned people on here who jump at the slightest provocation (and I may have done it myself at times) but they should all just grow up - the thread would be better fo it.
Maybe we all need to grow up a bit but it would be easier if things were fairly assessed rather than bipartisan posts resulting in friction. It used to be that way - RobbieSykes and GeorgeS used to have digs in a comical manner rather than some of the 'blisters' we've had in recent times. |

It's been that way for as long as I've been reading this thread, and that's a lot longer than the date on the left suggests. We get at least one comment like that every day, admittedly most of them come from Andy

And those who criticise The X Factor are now defending The Voice to the hilt and are calling out anyone who doesn't agree with them as biased. It works both ways and has done for a while - hence this thread is now a hideous shadow of what it once was.

I think the whole Carter family, including Danny Dyer, have been great. He has impressed a lot of people on the soaps forum who were expecting to hate him.

Celeb Big Brother might hold up better than usual tonight, it was perhaps not only the best episode this series, but also for quite some time!
It's caused quite a stir on Twitter if that's anything to go by. I certainly deserves 3 million+, but it'll be lucky to be over 2 million with it being a Saturday! |
