@mirrorjeffers: MIchael McIntyre has landed his own chat show on BBC1. Six part series will go out this Spring.

Could this be an early evening chat show. Maybe this is what they have for the BGT clash on Saturday evenings.

Now that is quite something from a Hollyoaks fan.

Isn't Daybreak down to just the people in the studio watching it?

That would be ironic given McIntyre was once a BGT judge.

Seems more likely it'll go around 9.30pm though with Get Ready To Tumble in the 7pm ish slot. Suspect BBC1 will aim to get whichever lottery show they're airing to clash with BGT.

I think Let's Get Ready to Tumble and McIntyre will be paired and scheduled around BGT with a lottery quiz most likely to face BGT itself?

[EDIT: It could be - 6:45 Lets Get Ready To Tumble // 8:00 Lottery Quiz // 8:50 Casualty // 9:40 Micheal McIntyre (it depends on how long McIntyre is and when BGT is scheduled

Death In Paradise is like Midsomer Murders. Crime with a light touch, easy to watch and get into. These dramas always have appeal. If you can watch some of the earlier ones. Ben Miller is great in them.

Sounds to me like McIntyre will be Friday at 10.35 when Norton's off: http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/lat...-mcintyre.html

Saturday night is possible I suppose but I'd be surprised.

You will be pleasantly surprised by Kris Marshall. He is genuinely likeable and engaging. I was more stunned by this than anybody!

great for death in paradise to break the 7million mark, the new inspector seems fine for the role, so can't see it losing many viewers as a result.

Do we think the McIntyre house part show has been dropped then for this chat show, can't see him doing both!

Thanks ronant, looks like Daybreak will be down to 500,000 by March, I assume another revamp is coming soon although with every revamp the audience drops further.

If the musketeers can rate high then bbc1 are looking super strong this January, the first couple of weeks and we could potentially see four dramas officially pass nine million, even if the musketeers rates average it's still a strong schedule, the only gaps being Monday, this war doc with paxman, I can't see that rating well, and the doomed outnumbered on Wednesday!

Shocked to see Daybreak has not recovered after usual Christmas dip. How much would taking the 6am hour out of the ratings affect the average, as GMTV used to split their shows in the listings prior until 2009.

Surely they can't keep revamping though. This has been it's third revamp? I think they should just admit it has been an expensive flop and axe it.

The Taste is a ratings disaster.

How many more weeks ? That's quite an important slot for Four as well because ITV is normally at its weakest.

Death in Paradise returned to highest ratings ever!
Whats going on?

British Drama is getting phenomenal ratings....its like a renaissance...Last tango In Halifax,Call the Midwife, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Broadchurch, The Fall etc etc. The list is endless, all brilliant dramas and all brilliant ratings.

Im so happy to be witnessing this renaissance of British TV Drama.

Autopsy: Whitney Houston's Final Hours: 1.90m

That's a very high rating for C5 at 10PM. At least twice the slot average.

The only new commission to really take advantage of CBB being around. Of the returning shows Botched Up Bodies (1.41m) has also rated a lot better than it did the last time without such support.
