According to this, Car Share has already been recorded, or at least some of it has been, perhaps a pilot? With Kay on board you'd think a pilot wouldn't be needed.

Well CBB's eviction twist failed spectacularily.

The whole series was filmed last summer I believe. It should be all ready to go - I was expecting it to begin at Christmas.

LOL! Hilarious moment. The producer is busy wiping egg off his mush as we speak. To be fair, you can see why they'd be keen to keep Luisa in. She's been TV gold thus far. But evictee Jasmine didn't read the script and chose to save two of the least interesting HMs.

I'd imagine they will be pinning their hopes on Liz' luck running out on Friday. She really does bring little to the table.

In all seriousness a pilot season of some kind probably wouldn't be an entirely terrible idea. The audience might actually like some of this stuff and just one bad episode of a bad format is certainly better than an entire series.

Which again fills me with dread about how bad they must think Car Share is (of course given their recent track record they may not be the best judges). It seems madness that they'd be sitting on a new Peter Kay comedy particularly when there's a glaringly obvious slot for it on the schedule (paired with Outnumbered on Wednesdays) which really only leaves the option that its terrible. Presumably it'll have to see the light of day eventually. Be interesting to see when it actually arrives.

In other news fans of ITV's shortlived Penn & Teller: Fool Us may be interested to learn that US network The CW have picked up a US version of the show. Jonathan Ross will serve as host. Nine episodes will air presumably over the summer. I wonder if ITV2 (or indeed ITV itself) might take a punt on it. Could leave to reviving the format which from what I remember was pretty well received at least.

Actually, by the looks of the press release, it seems that they have simply bought the British version. See the bottom of the press release here -

With more people up, Luisa should be safe on Friday. I would think Liz/Lionel are in most trouble, as Sam and Ollie have a big fanbase despite not doing much.

Are you sure they aren't just showing the UK version? There was 9 EPs of that including the pilot, just seems odd that they would use Ross if they were filming a US version.

Edit: beaten to it above. Must type quicker!

Pairing Car Share with Outnumbered would have been a good move. Outnumbered will almost certainly be the strongest comedy series the BBC air this year, likely to overnight at 6million for its series premiere and probably be around mid to high 5millions for the rest of its run. That would be a great lead-in for a new comedy. A real shame we have to have yet another repeat run of Mrs Brown. Surely something new comedy wise must be able to take the slot, even if its crap.

Not a sitcom, but didn't The Chase start off as a kind of pilot series along side two other game shows.

I can only presume Car Share is really poor, although with Kay on board, it's practically a guaranteed hit surely, maybe they are saving it for next Christmas?

Does it definately exist, or is it like last Christmas's Outnumbered Christmas Special, where everyone was certain there was one?!

ITV do have an increasing presence in America - it'll be a US version.

Yes - if Car Share was any good that would have been as close to rivaling the Mrs Brown/Miranda double bill they had last year. Talking of which if the BBC do get a series out of both of those next year it would be good if they could pair them up with new shows and get a 12 week comedy block rather than just the six.

Considering the quality of the stuff the BBC have allowed on screen on Saturday nights I don't think we want to see the stuff they haven't.

And talking of things people don't want to see on TV, I see C4 have given John Barrowman a series.

C4 have also announced The Last Leg returns in a couple of week and in doing so confirm it'll air weekly rather than nightly for the Paralympics.

I remember The Chase launched alongside The Fuse which was presented by Austin Healey. I can't remember a third format, though.

And I hated The Chase at the time - thought The Fuse was a much better format but with an awful host.

The Kumars was pretty good.

Strong guests with Daniel Radcliffe, Olivia Coleman and Chevy Chase.

Sure this had legs for a BBC return

Wasn't the third one Divided with Andrew Castle, I liked it, bit like Golden Balls in that some of the people on it were so stubborn and selfish it had me screaming at the tv in frustration, Andrew Castle was an awful host for it though

I was wondering if DCI Banks could be Monday's after Bletchley Circle? Tuesdays would be mad against DiP but you never know. Wednesday logically makes sense.

Probably not a brilliant idea to show EastEnders and Bake Off at the same time!

Must be one of the more stupid scheduling decisions. Again considering its actually moving over to BBC One this year and essentially competing against its new home.

I only saw one episode of Golden Balls where a girl was left totally stunned (me too) and tearful at the end-didn't watch another and not surprised that its not occupying the slot these days.

Fabulous start for Death in Paradise, though it would have been buoyed more than usual by Ben Millers last appearance and Kris Marshalls debut. Interesting to see how well it holds up.

Fantastic Eastenders' last night.

I hope it got decent ratings.

It will probably get lower ratings due to it being out of its slot.

I would be happy with over 7 Million as Thursday might be closer to 8 Million with word of mouth.

I think CBB could be close to 3 million I am guessing 2.7million.
