What the hell is wrong with some people?

Television Drama is meant to entertain I thought. Now I find that there's a vast league of frustrated wanna be TV critics, who only watch the box, in order to rip someones work to shreds.

Come on then all of you, start writing your own stuff as it seems you feel you can do better than the present writers.

Either that or do us all a favour and stop watching.

A mad character who feels like a cross between an evil genius and Graham Norton and who actually shot himself last series in an entirely non sensical fashion.

Again with Moffatt it's jam tomorrow.”

I just found most of the 'twists' really obvious in advance: e.g. Mary being the one threatening Magnusson in his office (it was obvious from the moment Watson mentioned 'Clair de Lune' being her perfume). It was obvious that it was Watson listening in on the conversation with Sherlock and Mary and not a dummy of Sherlock. Just obvious stuff that barely held my interest.

I am obviously in the wrong here but I thought Sherlock Holmes was meant to be a detective that solved crimes. I didn't think he was meant to be involved in all of the crimes in some way or other.

What a great episode of TV. I pity those who have nothing better to do with their time than watch and comment relentlessly on things they hate. A sad product of our age. Hopefully one day they'll go and find something productive to do with themselves.

Though I wouldn't count on it. Angry men with keyboards. Such a blessing they are!

Meanwhile...amazing ratings, record breaking DVD sales, critical acclaim. Sometimes I think the Moff must look at this forum and laugh. Except he doesn't. Because hes too busy writing that! Enjoy your Pot Noodles and righteous indignation!

Why don't you just say 'if you don't like don't watch it'?

That's the line fans use, isn't it?

Moff has done to Sherlock what the economic downturn did for Woolworths

It's a discussion forum not an appreciation thread, so if you don't like it tough luck.

Pops into thread...

Thought that was great entertainment. Thoroughly enjoyed it. And I'm not anybody's fanboy and have no agenda!
Carry on....

Pops out of thread.

Anyone think Sherlock made the Moriarty video himself? He may have known that they'd bring him back to England to 'solve the mystery', thereby getting rid of his worst enemy and at the same time receiving no punishment. So although we did not see a 'clever' thought out plan to finish Magnussen, Sherlock had it all under control.

I did enjoy tonight's episode. Revelations came thick and fast. Much more deduction and pace than the last two episodes.

Not sure I actually like Mary in this series it as she was a plot device really for this series finale and it will be interesting to see how or if she actually develops next series beyond the 'mummy' role.

A good finale though. Shame Sherlock shot Magnusson as he seemed less 'demented' than Moriarty. Moriarty is a pantomime villain really and reminds me of John Simms manic performance in Doctor Who for some reason.

As long as series 4 doesn't follow suit, I'm fine with series 3 being the anomaly in that regard.

No more nauseating than the unremitting carping from a talentless armchair critic.

I do feel that episode redeemed the last two, but; I'm not a fan of Mary, the bad guy could have been more evil and I miss actual crime solving.
From time to time they don't seem like the old characters and it creeps me out. Maybe the gap in between episodes is making them lose something.

I pity you...you spend more time attacking others opinions..It's successful..nobodies thoughts on here are going to affect it.

What are you so scared of. ?

Isn't it interesting that attacks on people with problems with it far outweigh attacks on people for liking it.

What a stupid post.
Question: why do you take it so personally, whats it to you if other people didn't share your opinion?

If that is your attitude then the show should be on Channel 5 after Big Brother.

Oh yes such an obvious twist that you figured it out seconds before the reveal, MIT should be put on standby.

No, if you actually read the posts, a large, not small, number of fans, not "fans", are criticising his work because it isn't actually very good. They have no interest in him outside of this.

As I saw on twitter earlier, "This is truly a golden age of people angrily discussing television."
