I'm going to start writing Miss Marple episodes where she gets married and all the episodes are about her husband's life as a welder.
Too late, the BBC are ahead of you on that one, as seen in their recent Witness For The Prosecution where the story became all about a bit part person in the original story.

It's as if they think just telling a good detective story is beneath them, too pedestrian for their award-winning talents.

I preferred Sherlock when it wasn't about writers masturbating their egos.

I feel tired and annoyed.

I hope this surprises just a tiny bit.

I remember when Sherlock had to figure out why a woman was hired to sit in a window and had to cut her hair. I don't actually think the quality is bad here.... it's just morphed into something else entirely. And i'm not sure I like the direction it is going anymore.

Expect a singing sailor to show up, lol (apprentice fans will understand).

Lost all interest in Who because the plots just became convoluted for the sake of it. It doesn't make for clever TV.

Don't get me wrong, Moffat is a brilliant storyteller (Press Gang anyone?), but he sure likes to reinvent the wheel.
He may have been in the past, but it's gone to his head and has been bolstered by Moffatt. I imagine they really think they are the bees' knees.....

They mistake convoluted for intelligent.

The storytelling here isn't that hard to follow (compared to the muck last year), but it's banal, bloated and long-winded. I sincerely hope this is the last series.

Surely this can't be a success in the USA. The average American viewer will have no idea what's going on....

Er, it wasn't Sherlock's fault your wife was daft enough to wind up an armed woman.
