I ain't a big supporter of Linda Nolan and thought she was a bit out of order last night to Jim but Katie Hopkins really did go over the edge when it came to her comments on Linda.

It was very personal and very demeaning of Linda and her character. Talking about hygiene issues and even bringing Alcohol to it and practically saying she has a problem.

I thought it was out of order and I am surprised Emma didn't pull her up on it. Is there any entertaining in seeing some one try and annihilate some ones reputation with very personal comments on TV?

Especially the sort of comments Katie made. I enjoy watching Katie and sometimes it can be a bit of a laugh but this was a bit outrageous from Katie.

I think people need to realise Katie does this to get reactions like yours. If people stopped taking her so seriously then the whole Katie Hopkins thing would stop.

Of course she does it for publicity and attention. But did you not think it was way out of order?

Some of her comments were far worse than things Pete Burns has come out with in the past but you have to take it with a pinch of salt and realise it is all for effect.

I've made no secret of the fact I like Linda but would have still been gobsmacked if Ms. Hopkins had said those horrendous things about any of the housemates. I will preface this by saying I am not easily shocked, prudish or easily offended but by God my jaw nearly hit the floor. It was just diabolical& so terribly puerile & offensive. If a member of my family was pubically trashed like that by anyone I don't know if I could be held responsible for my actions.
It was gutter talk but what can you expect from the likes of this truly ugly person. Why oh why is she given airtime.

I really wish they wouldn't give this awful woman opportunities on TV to vent her spleen over people she has never met - and not likely to. I cannot think of one redeeming feature she has and would be delighted if I never saw or heard her ever again.

Linda is about 55 years old, Katie looks about 55 years old and acts like a 15 year old

Katie Hopkins doesn't offer any actual opinions. All she ever does it throw around random insults. You can hear the cogs going around in her head, "Hmm, who haven't I offended yet?".

I suppose the question we should ask ourselves is: why is behaving in this way deemed acceptable these days? Look at all the awful comments people post about other people on line on twitter and sometimes on this forum.

Think back to when BB started I don't remember that level of vitriol and criticism being hurled at anyone. Unfortunately character assassination by keyboard is seen as socially acceptable these days. Katie Hopkins is just an extension of this reality.

She's a truly horrible person.
But she realises that she gets attention and shock from saying those things, and being 'controversial'. She has realised that it's a bit of a niche for her, and that she will get noticed and invited on more shows if she behaves like that...

Absolutely.
She has found her little niche for now, she must be laughing all the way to the bank.
Thing is one day she will just go too far and then she will suffer the consequences.

She is being booked to go on that show purely to get viewers watching more and talking about the show.
Publicity at its best so well done to the marketing team.

It wasn't even so much a controversial thing which makes you think in any way, it was just blatant defaming of her character. A character assassination on TV.

It was shocking last night and that silly bint Emma smirking beside her. Is Linda on benefits, if so its not a crime is it.As far as I know Linda had breast cancer and has recently lost her sister to it.
Why be so horrible, an ugly woman inside and outside.

I have to say, Katie made several valid points about Linda. Linda does seem like the crazy old cat-lady with hygiene issues. Plus, as we saw on the HL show last night, when she's on the wine she gets even more malicious. She also made a valid point about her being a clucking chicken sat on her bed, stirring it up - it's exactly what she did. In Katie's words "She is revolting!"

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but not everybody is a left-wing, peace-loving hippie. Katie represents the minority in society, whose views are regarded as too politically incorrect to say publicly. I dare say, many are in denial when it comes to Katie. A lot of what she says does have a point, however OTT she may put it across. I thought we lived in a democracy, where people aren't silenced simply because the majority disagree with them. It's disgusting to say the least.

Linda is unhinged and clearly has some sort of personality disorder. No rational woman plots and schemes, recruiting troops to launch a hate campaign against an innocent man (Jim).

I disagree with that. Its not a left or right issue, she just slammed some one on TV with no real cause to do so. It wasn't even controversial in that it was interesting in any way, it was just an all out attack on her character.

You think an attempt to silence somebody's views is "far less offensive"? I think it's shocking that in the western world people think it's okay to silence somebody, just because she's a minority. Her views aren't even that extreme. It's not like she's calling for mass-genocide or something - then I'd completely understand.

Yeah, I wasn't only referring to her interview on BOTS. I'm talking about Katie in the broader sense.
