Do they have their suitcases or change of clothes? I took it as meaning when it's bedtime she doesn't have underwear to sleep in.
I think that given the predicament they're in it's more a case of highlighting how awkward this may be and that they're going to need to work around some things.

They weren't going to bed and I assume she would change before bed anyway.
