If you like war movies, We Were heros (Mel Gibson) is great, Wild Geese (an oldie, but fantastic, one of my all time favourites), Longest Day (Classic)
Thanks for the heads up not seen this movie yet but will certainly add it to my watch list.

Chuck is fun, Justified, Breaking Bad, The Glades, Burn Notice, Suits, Dexter, Girl with Tattoo Trilogy in Swedish with English subtitles (very good) The Headhunters (film, again in Swedish with Subtitles), The Killing, The Bridge, The League.

Here's a tip I used when I first got Netflix, head over to IMBD, find a film or programme you like, look towards the bottom of the screen, you'll see "you may also like these" then check if their on Netflix using Moreflicks.

And Don't forget always rate a programme or film, Netflix uses a complex matching system to suggest other films/programmes to you.

I then just made a massive list on Notepad on my iPad.
I don't know how to rate the things I watch I only use my TV and there doesn't seem to be anyway to do it.
has anyone got any tips?

Just tried the US-Unblock - now that's an amazing service, Netflix US has alot more I'd watch like Melissa & Joey, Raising Hope, Malcolm In The Middle, Hole In The Wall (US), and tons more that I am going to enjoy. Just hope Netflix doesn't tell me off.

No you should be fine. I had to phone Netflix once about a problem accessing the service. They asked me outright if I was using a service like Unblock and I asked if I was doing anything wrong. They seemed ok about it as if they dont encourage it but turn a blind eye if you like.

^^In the page specific to the episode or film your watching you'll have a rate/more+ and add to my list options (only on Uk) thats where you rate your programme.

It's well worth doing, as then NF will suggest programmes and films based on your viewing tastes.

Is it safe using these DNS services to change region? Can't they gain access to your Netflix account and obtain personal details such as credit card information as your login session is being routed through them.

^^as long as you use one of the ones suggested on here Unblock etc you'll be fine, just don't google and try to use a "free one" you may find it costing you more that a few quid a month!!

You can change regions using Unlocator. It's free, too. Only region you can't access on it right now is Mexico.

Yes works well. See they've had to do an emergency upgrade the other night. No wonder especially whilst it's free !.

Recommend Sleeper Cell to anyone who likes a 24ish kind of vibe. Watched it a while back when it was tucked away on CBS action.

It's on US NF.

Thanks for that. It looks like it has a bit of a Homeland thing going on too. I'll enjoy that I think

...so much to watch & so little time!

I watched the first season of Person of Interest & the concept is one that I like, I'm not keen on Jim Caviezel as an actor though & he puts me off...although Michael Emerson is infinitely watchable (loved him since Lost)

Covert Affairs sounds good though so I'll take a look at all these just as soon as I get done watching Downton Abbey

Covert Affairs is enjoyable, but it's lightweight fluff compared to 24, Sleeper Cell, Homeland, or even Person of Interest.

Oh, and you really should continue with Person of Interest. I loved season 1, but season 2 onwards are even better - wonderfully weaved storyarcs.

^^Agree Covert Affairs is basically "Chuck" but a female lead, so lightweight, comedy type progamme. Not one I watch 3 or 4 episodes back to back like Justified or SOA.

Just started season 2 of Liliehammer, by the grinch it's good.

That's on my list to watch too

Hmmm, Covert Affairs may be a bit too 'fluffy' for me then

^^It's ok there's murder, death, kill in it, so not totally "fluffy", but not hardcore like "Sleeper Cell", "24" etc, as I said it's ok to watch maybe 1 or 2 episodes, then move on for the evening.

What's interesting about unblock-us is that your physical address is in the UK but you can watch US TV shows that are usually only allowed from with in the USA.

They are pretty much the same as our BBC/ITV/4/FIVE catch up services

http://www.cbs.com/watch/
http://www.fox.com/full-episodes/
http://abc.go.com/
http://www.nbc.com/video/library/full-episodes/

http://www.cbc.ca/player/

Brilliant to catch shows hours after they have aired in the US, you can catch them months before they are officially released in the UK (If at all)

I watch Arctic air (does anyone else??) and I'm just starting out on season 3. I used to have to download them but now I can stream directly from the CBC website.

Rather than start a new thread I'll tag my question in here.
I have an LG "smart" TV with a Netflix option.
If I subscribe to that and "Unblock Us" will the TV pick up both or just Netflix?

^^you have to check if your TV allows its DNS to be changed, or you can do it on your router (maybe). You change this to the DNS supplied by Unblock, then select the NF region you wish to watch on Unblocks website, relaunch NF and you'll find it's changed to that region.

Will I need a spanner or pliers?

(Seriously, thank you.)
