Not too much of a shock as most predicted it

http://www.bbspy.co.uk/cbb13/news/01...-2014-eviction

So the public votes will be meaningless, as we DON'T decide who stays

BB haven't even announced who is up for eviction yet

I just hope Liz stays.

So they will have to choose whether Liz or Evander will be evicted.

They posted a YouTube video of the announcement to the house.

I think the top 3 will probably be Luisa, Jim and Jasmine.

That or a free online poll on their website.

I've decided not to vote at all now. It's going beyond it now with these ridiculous twists. So we are supposed to vote for our favourite, but really it's going to be in the hands of ( presumably ) Lee and Casey when all is said and done?

I won't be spending a penny on voting now.

Nothing on channel 5 or Twitter.
Strange way of going about things

The public vote isn't meaningless at all. I imagine Casey / Lee will choose which of the least two vote-getters will be evicted. In which case the votes are just as important, because otherwise your favourite will still be in danger.

It's hardly a new concept either, so I don't know why people are so offended by the idea. They did a similar thing in BB3, so its hardly like viewers are being exploited for their votes or anything.

You're voting to save, you're not directly voting who leaves the house so no I don't think the votes would have to be refunded.

It's a safe twist as they are banking on evander and Liz being bottom so no harm done.

However there is the danger one of the bigger characters slip into the bottom two like jasmine and you know what would happen then.

I think Luisa will top this vote to save

They've done (more or less) this twist before, and it made pretty good viewing. After the public voted, the housemates had to choose between Jade and Lynne (I think - BB3 was a long time ago now), and Makosi vs Vanessa in BB6.

Actually it says we do
Spoiler
the 3 with most votes will be saved and the two with least will face a twist to decide who goes
, but it would seem we dont have the final decison of who actually goes

As it is the 2 with the lowest votes facing Lee and Casey, could they grant an immunity to one of those two, straight to the final and then the other one be evicted?

No it's like X factor and Strictly, the people with most votes stay, they choose who goes between the bottom 2.

Well if you don't vote, then your favourite could be in the bottom two, but if you do vote to save your fave then they could be in the saved 3 housemates. So your vote does count.

That's how I interpreted it as well. If this is indeed the twist then you are voting to ensure your favourite is in the Top 3 and thus not in the firing line if Casey/Lee decide who goes out of the bottom 2.

So Jasmine won't go then, no matter what (if she's up for eviction, that is)

I know. I am just a tad over all the ridiculous twists now, especially when it comes to the evictions. I would much prefer the housemates nominate, the ones with the most votes are up and we vote for our favourite. Simple.

Just like the BB of old. I may be getting too old for it now

I certainly wouldn't bank on Evander being bottom two. He may be dull but being such a big name may well keep him safe.

Are channel 5 capable of thinking of something new? This was done in BB3, 6 and 8.

The public vote should be the only thing that counts.
