My estimation of someone's IQ will immediately halve as soon as they say "get in my son".

This is a genuine question as I am female - is it normal for 30 year old 'lads' to be such cry babies and so thick. Does that behaviour still entitle them to be 'lads' in lads world?
My boyfriend (he's mid 20s) is certainly not a 'lad' but I've never seen him cry or act in the unmanly way lee has...!

being a self-pitying crybaby is fatal in the lads world, show this weakness and you are a signing up to a lifetime of ridicule

I don't think there's anything unmanly about a guy crying. If anything, it's unmanly to try to pretend you never cry. Everyone does.

That said, it ironically does seem to go against the ULTIMATE LAD archetype his fans here seem to have set up for him.

Exactly! Most people cry, he doesn't though, neither does my dad.

Only if they run out of beer and/or if their football team loses .

The tendency to cry is overrated as a positive attribute. It's an entirely selfish act. You're only ever crying for yourself directly or indirectly, for attention, or to score weasly victim points. MAN UP!

True lads nail all the fanny.
I must admit this made me chortle.

It is notable that however much these supposedly modern, empowered girls *seem* to have the upper hand over a true numbnut like Lee, at the same time they do seem to want his attentions. It's rather dispiriting. In a way due to this behaviour it is easier to see them lumped into one objectifiable entity which you might choose to call "all the fanny". If so much of the fanny didn't get itself nailed by true lads, then you could legitimately claim "True lads nail all the fanny" was a load of nonsense. [Goes off to write a paper entitled "Why do true lads still nail all the fanny?"]

Lee seems so pathetic and unattractive to me. But there it is, the evidence, the fanny, nailed.

If Luise gives him a go I'll kill myself.

BIB Doesn't that explain everything ?? People are criticizing him for his behaviour with these women whilst the women themselves are tripping over each other to get him into bed.
Remember we're dealing with Zeleb culture here, everyone in there is after column inches and exposure on the telly. It might go some way to explain why he appears to be irresistable to the girlies in there. He's still a first class knob though.

I don't want to sound like my middle name is schadenfreude but I for one would think it would be a bit of a reality check for him if Jasmine makes out to Lee he still has a chance with her then Ollie steams in and snogs her face off right in front of him. I wonder how much of an 'ultimate lad' Lee would be then.

Now THAT would be tv gold.
