With the introduction of the soul, the body acquires life, sight and hearing, thought and speech, intelligence and emotions, will and desire, personality and identity.

Evolution is a crazy theory that only makes sense to those bent on rejecting their creator God.

Remember that next time you fall victim to a cold virus that your light bulby space suit has no immunity to

It always amazes me that people who are so into religion always have to quote something rather than use their own words

When I have a cold I don't look to Western medicine to cure me.

Thing is the ancients had remedies for common colds, but this didn't cause them to reject God.

Louis Pasteur believed in God and yet was a Chemist, Biologist, ... The two can go hand in hand. It is arrogance that makes people look at the complexity of creation and put it all down to random acts.

My computer just assembled itself, now it's asking me who is Man that it should need him. Go figure

I'm quoting it because the person as expressed a belief or notion that I too hold. Why reinvent the wheel.

Adam became a living soul once God breathed into him, this is what the creation story tells us. God did not breathe into animals the bible only says he made the beast of the earth from the earth”

Not my choice of fiction I'm afraid, so the above doesn't mean anything to me.

Way to deliberately miss the point I was making. The reason you get colds throughout your life is because viruses mutate as they replicate, to the point where some become sufficiently different to evade your body's immune system as they replicate through other humans before gradually spreading back towards infecting you again. If that didn't happen each human would only get a cold once.

As for your computer, if it was a self-replicating lifeform in a lab the size of planet Earth and over 4 billion years worth of generations behind it it may well have "assembled itself" eventually (as all modern creatures have done through a long list of small mutations that provided them an advantage for survival and reproduction). It isn't going to do so overnight though, just as humans didn't suddenly spring from the mouse-like creatures our ancestors were 65 million years ago.

The Spirit of man go upwards for his breathe is from God, the spirit of Beasts go down because they are made from the earth and there return. Animals don't have a soul.”

Not according to what you've quoted yourself:

so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

I fail to see where a virus mutating proves that humans evolved from a single cellar organism. Or are you using conjecture to back your "theory"

Difference between you and me, I have a faith and know it is just that, you have a faith of sorts but don't realise that is what you have. Your prophets are scientists, mine well they are what they call themselves on the label.

No the difference between you and I is that my theory of choice is backed up by large amounts of ever-increasing evidence, whereas yours is nothing more than the ravings of a priest elite trying to lord it over some tribes in a desert.

Thats your opinion, and I think it's a bit rude to those of us who believe in it.

It's not popular because anyone with critical thinking skills realises that the Bible has been cobbled together by humans over the centuries and is full of handed down stories and folklore, not to mention that it's also full of contradictions .

For example - what do you believe "An eye for and eye, and a tooth for a tooth" or "turn the other cheek"

Can you tell me what a theory is?

The evidence supports a theory, and none of the evidence contests or goes against that proposed theory.?
That's quite handy isn't it.

Miss frizzy, they were ruder to Jesus I'm sure we can handle this.

It's this mindset and type that Jesus had to deal with and eventually was the cause of his death... Forgive them for they know not

Scientific method means that a theory will either be amended or completely discarded once a body of conflicting evidence is found.

After over a century, the most scientifically active century in the history of mankind, evolution is still the dominant theory for explaining the diversity of life on our planet. It stands up to scrutiny, none of the evidence is contesting it, and that's why it's still accepted. If the evidence wasn't backing it scientists would have long ago discarded it.

In contrast, you have "god did it in six days, then killed nearly everything, but what's left is thanks to Noah putting everything on a boat. Oh, and here's a rainbow to prove it."

Yeah....

The bible doesn't ask you to critically think it through, it teaches that you should exercise a power made dormant in many of us, but is needed to connect us with the source of all things.. It is utilising that innate power that will explain everything. What is hidden from the wise and the prudent is revealed to the babe.

God resists the proud and are near to those that of a humble spirit. That's why the English have such a problem with God.

And while your discarding this conflicting evidence scientist have people hanging onto their words like they are seers or prophets and not admitting that they got it wrong, in the meanwhile people die and meet the God that scientist with bad evidence and theories told them didn't exist.

A theory is just that conjecture.... I think something random and I'll try and find any evidence I can to prove what I just thought up.

I'll stick with the guys in the desert

I don't need to believe in a deity or that I'm going on to a better place to love and respect the planet I live on. This is what humbles me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p86BPM1GV8M

If only some of the religious types who are willing to kill and die themselves in the name of their deity would get a bit of perspective, the world would be a better place.
