Didn't know that 2 year old internals now means "latest build".
5c doesn't have two year old internals, it has one year old processor and latest LTE radio

Yeh, right!

Your prior 'iPhone 5c no brainer at Three' never did get a price. It appeared to be the £937 total plan.

Its certainly a new angle on the the term 'No brainer'.
You can prove anything with figures! Assume equivalent SIM only would be at least £15 per month, at least £360 is for the network, not the phone.

937-360=577 for a phone paid for over 2 years.

Yes, you can buy it for less outright, and if you have the cash to spare you probably should!

The rest of us have to pay monthly...

Sorry but it is old hardware from 2012, and it is overpriced even with the LTE radio.

A Moto G and a 4G MiFi plan for an entire household would still work out to be cheaper than a 5C and would be the better option, particularly value for money-wise. Unless one simply has to have an Apple device which the OP doesn't appear to want to do so.

But ultimately the Moto G, while being a great budget device for the money is not a 4G handset and (unless I'm going to carry the MiFi with me everywhere) will not give me access to the next gen networks now being rolled out. You are not comparing like with like.

Let's say the OP is looking for a 4G device (which wasn't stated), they could buy the Nexus 5 and it would still be cheaper than the 5C. The Nexus 5 has LTE capability and is far far superior to the 5C in terms of hardware. Your case for the 5C is not convincing.

Built in always trumps the MiFi given how much WiFi congestion there is. Try using a MiFi in a shopping centre these days. Its horrific :-/

Nonsense, 5c is latest build and will definitely get iOS 8 and probably iOS 9 too. You can check out iOS support levels on Wikipedia, but there's always at least two major updates on every handset.
Latest build? Its core processing hardware is from the 5. Which is coming up to a year old, therefore the processor is older ...

What I meant on the OS updates is that its entirely possible (probable?) that iOS9 will add "features" that slow make the device clunky, as they've done with iOS7 on the 4S.

I'd love to know how Apple effectively just skinned iOS6 and made iOS7 run so inconsistently on the 4S. That shouts out bad implementation (or design).

Why because it has a quad core processor? Or are thou talking about the higher res screen.

iphone 5C, 500 mins, 5000 texts, AYCED, 37 pm for 24 months...

I declined.

Better faster cpu, more ram onboard, better screen by far and much nicer to look at!

In all fairness, the OP asked us to compare s3 mini and iPhone 4S. I think we may have drifted off topic and confused him more!
