It's all down to delivery and it would appear hers lacked any form of humour at the time.

Luisa seems to be devoid of empathy which doesn't help when it comes to trying to be funny.

- but I think what got Lionel going was that as far as he was concerned, and he said this to Luisa, he thought that they were all having fun in the house, and therefore, he was 'being fun' , that the HMs, Luisa found him fun to be around - so he was hurt that she would then say in not so many words that the OAPs were boring to live with and be around - Luisa threw everything back in his face, and he was hurt.

- as an entertainer and someone who doesn't class himself as really old and doddery and past it, which is how Lionel sees Luisa was implying about him , that really got to him, and he took objection to the fact that she started blatantly lying that she didn't really mean it and that it was her 'humour'

As an oldie myself, Luisa might like to know that we sometimes find young people pretty boring because they spend all their time talking about themselves.

Luisa doesn't have a sense of humour. What she does is throw outrageous remarks out into the ether to see how they land. If it's a hit, she bigs up how much fun she is to be around. If it's a miss, she'll say that she's misunderstood (presumably because her "sense of humour" is so sophisticated that only a few people can understand it).

He's a dancer which sometimes goes with the self image of being forever young, lively and fit. She may just have hit a Peter Pan issue.

Jim is a practicing comic. Being labelled as an oap comic hits the nail a bit hard for him too - it even suggests, rightly, that his act is dated... A comic needs to be seen as up to date.

Her division of the house is probably exactly as its laid out on the producer's casting notes. Its far less stark than most people use in real life - listen to any cabbie going on about old sunday drivers...

the demographic in the BB house doesn't usually have so many young people around the same age, so no idea why Luisa was complaining

I don't think there's anything "sophisticated" about Luisa, she's so blunt it's like an offensive weapon, or passive-aggressive as one Jim Hater is so keen on persistently (boring now) posting.

If she says it was meant in jest then no one can prove otherwise, pathetic.

It's nothing to do with "proof", as has been said by others, it's the manner in which it's said, and at the end of the day whether people believe her excuses for the reasons she said something. As Linda said (and I'm no fan of her) engage brain before opening mouth.

I can't believe people seem to be taken in by this guy.”

Yeah its almost as mystifying as the people who hated him from the start and are totally unwilling to give him a chance... Almost.

It doesn't matter. If I say something and I say it's a joke then that's how I intended it and there's nothing you can do about it. I have looked a friend dead in the eye with a completely straight face and called her a bitch. People around us were shocked but she didn't bat an eyelid because she knows my sense of humour and knew I was joking. It doesn't matter whether the people around think you are joking or not it's their perception and your intention and only you can know your intention.

Full of her own importance she started to be quite nasty, especially to Jason who she clearly felt was not worth a moment of her time. She couldn't event speak to him in a civil manner.”

Hmm.. I don't think you paint the full picture of what happened.

I think people (well, those that watched The Apprentice 2013 ) have to remember Jason was the ONLY - repeat ONLY! - candidate in Apprentice history to give up being project manager. To say he was cowardly or lacked any backbone would be an understatement. Jason was too weak for the show. Being weak is nothing to be ashamed of but he did "big himself" up at the start of the series and he was found out. Luisa may have bullied him a bit but he was a coward and disingenuous. He claimed he was brave to give up being PM when it was the opposite - he was found out to be weak and ineffectual and to put it bluntly: not manly enough to stand up to Luisa.

Anyway, Luisa got to be runner up - Jason came across as a nice but rather buffoonish character.

I agree, and may I add that older people have plenty to offer as they have usually done it all, especially ones like Lionel.

Luisa in business can be ruthless and outspoken to her hearts content, but away from security of job and friends lacks any kind of emotional filter. She speaks in statements, rather than conversationally, so is unaware there may be a consequence to anything and her words pour out in pure monotone, so no-one is getting or understanding any of her intended meaning!

"Young People spend all their time talking about themselves"

And Lionel doesn't?. Personally in my experience the oldies are just as guilty if not more-so of this. I dont see why Lionel was so shocked he could be boring to young people. He should of just laughed it off like most people would but his ego wouldn't allow it.

I thought the argument was fine , everyone expressing their pov , until Jim tells Luisa to "shut up" , he was just very rude .

Yes, as Luisa was saying, they were debating it.

Jim is a control freak and wants to shut, especially, women down.

i think Lionel & Jim were out of order , if they had a problem with Luisa and what she said they should of took her the one side in private to talk to her, not to make a scene in front of the other housemates

There are laws on discrimination about race, sex and age. The first two bring formal warnings in BB so why not the third? In ALL cases some are offended while many are not.

You are completely contradicting yourself here. Firstly, you say your friend wasn't upset "because she knows my sense of humour". The reason the comment didn't upset her, therefore, was because (according to you) she knew your intentions. You follow this with 'only you can know your intention'.........
