We always had established combinations though. We only ever had pink custard with iced sponge, and we only ever had sweet white sauce with chocolate pudding. I remember they once served jam-and-coconut sponge with pink custard instead of yellow, and it didn't go down well. It was widely discussed and condemned in the playground! |
