Insurance worries

Why Dancing On Ice is finishing for one reason cause of insurance reasons? ITV bosses are worried for health & safety.

Hmmm if that were the case it wouldn't have lasted 9 series.

Whilst ITV have a duty of care to those taking part to a large extent I'm sure there are also clauses in the contracts about 'taking part at own risk' as well.

That is why Todd is probably worried about staying too long. I don't think he wants to be saved. Just an opinion so don't shoot me

Yes he gets paid, but because he is such a rubbish skater, the chances of him getting hurt are greater. So even if he gets paid, what good will it do to him if he gets laid off for months. Like I said it is only an opinion so don't shout at me Grumpy!

I think they reined in after series 3 - though that was possibly alos because the females in series 4 and 5 and 6 could do less. Some of he more difficult female moves have come back in for the last couple of series, but last series tended to use Beth's unique skills, and didn't have Matt there long enough to produce his trademark ones. This series has Bonnie and Suzanne in it who can do the daring lifts, and 3 top males who cna put a big lift up, so I doubt if they won't be doing them.

Not shouting at you! I respect all opinions on here and never try to shout anyone down.

But,as you say, why have such a 'rubbish skater' in a skating show if not to try and humiliate him? He may well have signed a disclaimer for insurance purposes anyway. Who knows?
