I think the mistake threw him so he was then trying so hard to not muck up again he forgot about the performance side of it?

When I heard he & Frankie skate together regularly I really thought he would be a dark horse but he let the nerves get to him badly.

Am sure he's quite good when he & Frankie go off for a skate at their local rink on a Tuesday Morning or whatever but if he can't do it under pressure then what can you do.

I thought David did pretty well and the marks he got were a bit mean - all the tricks and lifts were very good! Shame he has gone so early, but with a double elimination I can't say I'm overly shocked.

Maybe he didn't get the votes because of their "true love" being rammed down our throats and the fact that he cheated on his wife and left his kids for Frankie?

Funny I said the same to my OH. Sometimes the public can be very moralistic.

My feelings exactly. Bet his TWO ex-wives (he left the first for the second) had everyone else on speed dial tonight!

That sums up my views exactly.

The Producers made a big mistake with the way they set up Jorgie Porter last week and this week we get them lauding the new romance of the serial adulterer David Seamen.
Its obvious that all of Skofe and the Bleak ones comments are heavily scripted and very poorly at that.

I think if this wasn't the last series, it would probably die a death anyway.

It's the hypocrisy of it all that annoys me. Sylvain splits up with Jennifer and gets together with Samia (no evidence of any cheating on anyones part) and it's the crime of the century and the source of ridicule from Philip etc and he got treated with IMO barely concealed contempt yet this week ultimately the same behaviour done by David Seaman is treated like it's the greatest thing that has ever happened and we should all be oohing and aahing at the cute couple. Just doesn't seem at all fair. Personally not that fussed at David and Frankie going he wasn't really that great compared to most of the others and it's going to be bad enough having Sam and Vicky's romance shoved down our throats every week without having two of them every week.

The double elimination made no difference really. Bottom of the vote meant he'd have been in the skate off with either Gary or Sam, and I think the judges would have voted to keep them (well maybe Jason would have kept David over Gary)

I just thought their headbanger was terrifying - Frankie was having to lift her head up to avoid the ice at least 3 revolutions before it finished and he kept sending her lower, I could hardly bare to watch
Glad they went out, my nerves couldn't have taken it!

I don't know how anyone could be so cruel as to parade their new partners on TV , it must be so upsetting for the families. They don't deserve votes , they must be horrible people who only care about themselves . Same goes for Karen and Chris . Cruel and selfish that lot of them.

That could well be true, on the other hand, maybe he didn't get the votes because having said how much he and Frankie skated together, he just wasn't good enough. Even without the mistake he was really dull.

I believe it's been said many times that Chris had already left his (ex) wife before he and Karen got together although I can't be sure about Karen's situation with her ex.

I think it's just simply the fact that he's just not as well known as the others. His series was 8 years ago and he's kept a fairly low profile since then.

I didn't think David was a particularly great skater....and the fact that he'd been trailed as 'a dark horse' made that even more obvious. Like another poster above, I was on the edge of my seat at some points, he seemed both unsafe and unaware of that fact !!! I didn't know he'd left two wives...but I found all the lovey dovey stuff with Frankie a bit sickening.

So all in all, no I didn't think he could have been great
