And he got it. (rolls eyes) I like Todd, but his skating is abysmal and seeing a good skater (Gary Lucy) going out because the voters kept in the 'entertainer' is a tad annoying. And it's not as though Todd's routine was particularly entertaining - I think he is still dining out on last year's fame.

I have nothing against Todd and I love Joe P too.but as this is meant to be the special final series. I would have preferred to see both of them do guest slots later in the series. Again tonight a good skater suffered for the sake of the general publics fascination for saving an underdog. Todd's original mishap in his series was v funny but you can't recreate that kind of moment.

Not by me he wasn't.

That 'performance' was just an abomination. I have absolutely NO idea what people find entertaining about Todd Carty. Without the colourful costumes, upbeat music and additional skaters there was precisely nothing to love about that routine.

What's even more staggering is the fact that he has not improved one jot since the last time he appeared on DOI - now that's some achievement!

If the public wanted to save a joker, why didn't they save Joe. IMO Joe is much better than Todd. I am sure Todd would love to be voted off. He appears to be scared of the ice unlike Joe.

But it was the 'judges' who saved him. He was grossly over marked.

I don't find him entertaining or funny at all. He hasn't improved and it seems the other celebs have put in a lot of hard work to try to improve but Todd just turns up makes funny faces makes no effort to improve and gets put through for being 'entertaining' or 'funny'.

Well said! For a show that is supposed to be about skating he is just totally miscast.

Yes, he turns up.

(And gets paid of course.)

Yes he pulls funny faces. Actually he only has two. A serious one when he appears, and probably fails, to concentrate. A gurning one which is actually a pretty good imitation of Wallace, (or even Grommit).

As for entertaining??

Watching paint dry is mildly stress free and possibly slightly entertaining. Will it dry now or dry later?

Watching grass grow is more entertaining perhaps because there is the bonus of seeing occasional insects and ants scurrying around.

But Todd. Entertaining? Not in one's wildest dreams - or even nightmares.

Joe was a poor skater but he at least tried, and tried hard, to entertain and he did have a cheerful personality whereas Todd makes no discernible effort and appears to be a personality free zone.

The problem is, he has gone from being a laughable calamity to a very very mediocre skater, who is not funny, just bad, because he has actually improved considerably.

I am sure Todd is a lovely guy. I just do not find his routine on the ice funny or entertaining. Joe skated better last week and was relieved to be voted off the show. He was very honest when he talked to Phil on This Morning! Quite honestly, the supposed "hilarious skating off the ice into the wings" during the first time Todd was on DoI was not as funny as Phil, T and D seem to think!!

Thats what i thought, it still makes me laugh on youtube but he shouldn't be in it now.

I was surprised to see Todd invited back, also Joe P, for that matter. Neither were any good at skating, nor (imo) particularly funny or entertaining.

However, yesterday I wasn't really sorry to see him saved, at the expense of the 2 who did go. Both came across to me as very boring, and also rather arrogant.
