I thought it was because he was playing the "my daughter will cry if I don't win" card, thats the reason I don't like him. Although I can't remember if Jason was rude to him before he played the daughter card.

Yes, he kept calling him boring, (not just what he said but how he said it too - we saw this in his VT tonight), and the "pillock" comment I referred to above was before he accused him of using the "kid card", which he said on the final.

If you think he was being nasty to Gary then you clearly must have missed the comments aimed at Todd Carty. You ain't heard nothing yet, when it comes to the typical Gardiner abuse, till you hear him unload on someone like Todd Carty. Some of the coarsest abuse is reserved for the ones who get set up as the buffoons. The likes of Gary Lucy really do lead a charmed life if that is all they get from him (Jason).

Yes, he was nasty to Todd as well. But with Gary, I think he makes it personal, and Todd less so. He's harsh and nasty with Todd, but not as personal over their respective series, I don't think.

I remember him being awful to Roxanne Pallet too. He seems to take a "celeb" and decide that's the one he'll give the most grief to

Gary was the one who brought up the dressing rooms first - what was Jason supposed to say, seeing as the cameras cut to him and presumably wouldn't have gone elsewhere until he responded?

His treatment of Sharron Davies was the worst out of anyone that's been on the show. And I'm not just referring to the "faecal matter" comment.


Gary's dressing room comment was clearly a joke. And Jason didn't need to say anything. He could have kept it professional and just smiled or laughed politely. Resorting to being nasty doesn't make him look like the better person. Far from it, in my eyes.

I don't think he hates him. He just wanted him to up his ante, and while some celebs accept that they aren't yet world class ice dancers, and want to work on it and get better, Gary just whined about it.

I think Jason's always been bang on the money with Gary Lucy, because he bores me as well. His Bolero was surely the most boring one I've ever seen! I'd hoped that Katie might have brought out his fun side and we'd see some personality tonight, but seemingly he hasn't got one!

I've always found Gary very boring too. I don't understand why he lasted so long in his series.

I do like Gary Lucy and his skating is far from awful but I agree, he is a bit "meh" to watch.

Gary has always come across as a bit arrogant, but at least the could definitely skate, unlike the wooden untalented Todd.

I've definitely noticed that over the years. He's more than happy to give it, but he can't take it at all. That's why he doesn't like Karen, because she stands up to him when he goes too far with his comments.

Had Gary stayed in his only chance with Jason would be showbiz face, which just isn't him. Shame, as he can actually skate.
