Where the hell are Torvill and Dean?

Wot no ice dancing from them this week?

Sod the professional dancers earlier. Torvill and Dean haven't touched the ice this week!

Torvill and Dean's problem is that they never were pairs or adagio skaters, they danced, and now they've got age against them too. When the pros dance their stuff on the ice, the difference between them in both skating style and energy is massive. T&D look woeful beside the youngsters, which is sad because in their heyday they were at the top of their profession.

I think they should stay off the ice completely, unless they're going to demonstrate some real ice dancing, nice westminster waltz or something.

I think it's for the best. They can't keep up technique wise, and they are better off focusing on choreographing the skating and being figure-heads.

I'm sure they'll do a skate at some point, and it will be lovely, but they don't have it in them to do an interesting and exciting routine every week on top of their other duties.

They haven't performed every week in previous series either. We'll see more of them once the celebrity numbers are down a bit.

This is possibly the last time they will skate on tv so they should be making the most of it.

It was great to see the pros strut their stuff & I really enjoyed it.

I am sure they will skate later in the series though.

Have you ever thought there may be a reason??
Just been published this week that Jayne had to undergo an operation on her spine at some point in the last couple of years so maybe not their choice not to skate, she has to be careful and not damage it any more

Oh please! Do you seriously think the skating technique of Pros like Katy Stainsby and Vicky Ogden is better than T&D's? You've got to be joking!

I should imagine being late 50s now, and with a heavy workload choreographing everything, is the main reason why they're not performing every week, as they used to when DOI first started. That and unseen injuries in previous years, Jayne's spine and Chris's shoulder. But inspite of all of that, and being icedancers and not Pairs skaters, Jayne still did the Headbanger last year for the first time!
