There's no point in getting worked up about it. Most of them are really good, and I don't think it does any harm for there to be a little contrast, so long as it doesn't last too long.
The really good skaters who connect with the public will stay in, but the nature of this format for the show means that every one of them is someone's favourite. Each week, someone's favourite will go, and a lot of people will think they deserved to stay over at least some of the others.
I'd liked to have seen David hang around for another week or so, but he was never a contender. He had some good, solid skating, but he was unlikely to produce a genuine "wow" moment.
