Not when the purpose of the series is to find the best of the best - I'd have rather had someone like Jessica, Donal or Claire back

You make a very good point. Bringing in 'contestants' despite their lack of competence is insulting to the genuinely talented who have tried and done well.

Rather confirms my view that he, (and Joe), were simply brought in to make fools of themselves and provide the sort of 'entertainment' that once was had, in Victorian times, by mocking the afflicted.

I don't mind incorporating idiots into the show, as they do on SCD, providing it doesn't jeopardise the chances of those who skills have some semblance to skating.
The concept of the village idiot has always been amusing to the onlookers but here, one surely must blame the idiots on the other ends of their phones, who vote for them, rather than those half decent skaters.

I don't find him entertaining to be honest. I liked Joe last week as his skate was not great but he could do stuff. Todd can just about skate.
I realise a lot of people liked him but I really think he should not have been brought back as a real contestant they could have had an extra segment where he cameback as a memorable skater.
The problem is, the routine was only funny because he did it accidentally. He can't repeat it as he's not a comic performer. I think they've milked that moment enough TBH

Fear?

I thought David played ice hockey and goes skating regularly, how the hell can he be frightened?
Of dropping Frankie. When he played ice hockey he wasn't with Frankie and even though he goes skating with his wife on a regularly basis, it is at their own pace. Like I said it only an opinion I hold and you certainly don't have to agree with me.

Can't skate!

Not much of an actor.

Certainly does not entertain!

A ridiculous result. DOI is supposed to be about skating!

I so agree with you.

I admit I laughed at the time he skated off set.

Once.

I didn't the other twenty million times it's been shown.
And the more I see it, the more convinced I am that is was fake. The trip looks real enough, but Todd's partner was completely unfazed and continued her routine as if it was all planned. Todd's popularity is based on this 'accident', which can't really be repeated by another one - can it?

I agree, this would have made more sense.

Your wrong and your right. Todd was always meant to skate off though the tunnel get turned around and come straight back on and that is potentially why Susie seems unfazed, however that's where the planning ended. Todds actual trip on his toepicks was real and not faked in anyway and in recent interviews Karen etc have said that he knocked down a cameraman in the tunnel and was then picked up and shoved in the right direction back onto the ice.

So I think it's unfair to say its fake yes parts of it were planned but they could never have predicted the actual outcome. Also you will pro skaters will almost always continue what they are doing where possible as it is what they are trained to do i.e the show must go on and all that so just keep going again could be why she probably didn't react to what was going on until afterwards.

I wonder what they will dress as this week?

Clowns?

Superman and Lois Lane?

Laurel and Hardy?

He can't really do a serious routine
