Jim got 7 and Liz got 8 clearly ahead of anyone else....but Luisa who got 2 and Jasmine who got 3 are up against them. It is so ridiculous

It's not as if they just thought of the idea. There have been loads of evictions before where they put up everyone with at least 2 nominations. On the whole people seem to like it because it gives them more choice, but obviously fans of a housemate who would not otherwise be up don't.

I like it. It makes eviction nights exciting and unpredictable.

It's a much better idea than just two up, this way not all the big characters are voted out first, and we get a chance to vote for HM's that might never have enough noms to be in the top two, much better this way.

Well selfishly I don't, because one of the big characters will probably go i.e. Jasmine or Luisa. And we'll be left with the two misery gutses. This will continue until only the dumb and miserable housemates are left.Fine if you want to watch Jim's impersonations of Jimmy Tarbuck, Sams silent pouting and sharing smiles with Ollie. Lionel twinkletoing across the lawn as he relates stories of his encounters. Lee will probably turn to Casey for solace when his pals go, then be given the chop for playing with Casey's feelings. Then Casey will sit and mope to Linda who'll think 'You know I could actually win this'.

Just speculating....

Only two people up would effectively be a vote to evict and everyone seems to want to avoid that at all costs.

Also, we do not know if it is one or two going so if it is two there would be no need for a vote at all.

Having the 3 with most nominations up would have been the best format.

The producers, of course, have to go from one inadequate scenario to another one. But it will make things easier for when they need to have a double eviction.

The only time people like it is when you have a house where the power lies with an unpopular group of hms and they start to pick off other hms one by one.

I don't like it like this at all. What is the point of having nominations?

Why? The housemates have their own agenda for nominating. The public have a different perception. People say it is unfair for the main players to be up for eviction. However, it would be more entertaining to see either Louise or Jasmine go and see how the other changes their behaviour or reacts without the other for support. Also, Ollie and Sam have been kept in the background, but they seem to be having a nice time, always with a smile on their faces. It would be nice to see what the others are upto when the focus is not on where the camera happens to be when you fancy arguing, swearing, playing around in the bathroom or under the duvet.

Can you imagine the reaction if it was Lionel and Linda or Jim and Linda under the duvet or sharing toilet, bath, shower time together? Three weeks of being given the choice to watch the show or turn over? For some of us, it is just the same as having three weeks of Jasmine, Louisa, Casey and Lee dominating the show.

Clearly it was not thought through properly, they didn't get the result they wanted, so it was rubbed of the story-line white board.

If there was anybody left that believed the producers of this show don't have an agenda, they must see now what is going on.

The ineptitude of the producers is embarrassing.

With regard to the number up, It would seem that at some point the rules of nomination seem to have been changed to anybody with more than one nomination is up for eviction but we, the voters, have not been told.
Again, this is probably to leave a window for manipulation.
It is true that it makes a more interesting eviction if there are more people in the mix, but it changes the game beyond recognition and almost obliterates the need for nominations, if a HM must almost escape nomination altogether to avoid being up for eviction.
We will see more Sams and Ollies keeping their heads down and saying nothing to avoid nomination which removes a fundamental (if there are any left!) of BB

with vote to save 4 people minimum is best.
The ones with the most fans are safe anyway.

Channel 5 have had 3 or more for a long time now so nothing new here.

The eviction contest that puts all this whining into context was Luke A against lauren when everybody wanted one of the "insiders" who received two votes to be up against them. BB has just taken note and given the public what they want. Besides, in a vote to save, only the weakest will fall. If Jas and Luisa are as popular as some people are claiming...They will stay .

I really do think that all this messing with noms/evictions is to keep Jim in, I believe there's some deal been struck, it's very odd.

I think people just like moaning.

Had they changed the format to just 2 up for this eviction only then the same people would be shouting fix.

I thought this forum agreed last year that 3 or more up for every eviction is the best idea for many reasons,one being that in a vote to save with just 2 up then it may as well be a vote to evict and so it makes the result predictable and allows the public to get rid of the most controversial one of the two.

I have loved everything about this series other than they choise to ditch the LF which would have been priceless for this series.

Well done producers and C5 for giving me a truly amazing series so far,and please keep the 3 or more up format as it makes the show less predictable,more exciting and with a vote to save will help to keep in the housemates who are putting effort into the show.

Yes, over the years BB have tried various things to bring about desired results. A lot of people were infuriated in BB10 that Charlie, Lisa, David and Rodrigo beat both Freddie and Marcus, so in BB11 they brought in Save and Replace; but it wasn't needed in BB11, and just seemed muddled and unfair. In BB14 they had to do various things to stop Gina and Dexter being up against each other early on.

You might well be right (though I don't think the explanation needs a deal); Jim is probably safe in a multiple eviction because he has fans, but would be in real danger in a head to head, where his dislikers can focus their votes. Liz, who would probably survive a head to head against four or five of them, is in much greater danger in a multiple vote. I think they are just trying to keep the controversial ones in by going for big eviction lists. It rarely seems that much of an issue to me on CBB anyway: they get paid their fee, and don't necessarily stand to gain much by winning. It took all of 24 hours last year before Charlotte was saying she didn't care.
